Root & Bone draws its name from the staples of the American diet: meat and vegetables. It promises to deliver culinary excellence with southern charm.
Rooted and raised in the South, Chef Jeff McInnis grew up with southern comfort food and hospitality in his blood. His partner, Chef Janine Booth, hailing from Australia, brings with her a true passion for uniting people through food. This power couple already boasts several successful restaurants across the country and the Caribbean, with numerous accolades including three James Beard Award nominations. They are thrilled to be opening their fourth Root & Bone here in WNC. Root & Bone will showcase their southern-inspired cuisine with a modern twist, featuring award-winning dishes such as the Sweet Tea Brined Fried Chicken, Braised Brisket Meatloaf, Grilled Peach & Tomato Caprese Salad, and Barbecue Spareribs, alongside classic casual items like the R&B Burger, Crispy Fried Chicken Biscuits

Excellent food and service. Our waitress was very helpful and knowledgeable. Food quality was outstanding and beautifully prepared and presented. We highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely dine again.

It was our first time at Root & Bone but not our last visit. We ate outside and the ambience was beautiful. The food was well prepared and tasted excellent. Thank you Travis for making our anniversary dinner special.

We sat outside and it was nice and quiet. Everything was outstanding!!! Can’t wait to return and try other things on the menu. We had two delicious cocktails, the trout and the brisket “meatloaf.” Both are highly recommended!

Our dinner was wonderful as usual....the best shrimp&grits ever....as was my husbands fried chicken & cole slaw! And we could dine on the angel biscuits alone all evening! Love Root&Bone!

The short rib “meatloaf” was excellent! The atmosphere was nice and I lit was quiet enough to talk.

Amazing dining experience. All the food was carefully crafted. The meatloaf was not mom’s meatloaf. It was a true culinary delight. Wow. The ricotta ravioli was exceptional as well, and chef’s lemon blueberry mascarpone cake finished off the night perfectly. Thanks to everyone there.
