Joe’s on Higgins has been serving the Jefferson Park neighborhood and local families since the 1950’s. Our family is thrilled to be still serving yours. A little corner restaurant packed full of all sorts of exciting Italian dishes, wines, and lots of heart. Three generations later, Higgins’ is woven deeply into our story and our most secret ingredient.
We love it here, it’s all so good.

As always, an outstanding meal, large portions, very fair pricing and very good service. We brought friend that were never here before, and they now also will be fairly regular customers.

Not very busy, we could have had a more attentive server. The food was delicious, very traditional Italian and good -sized portions. Plenty for leftovers. Street parking. This place has a cute vibe.

Food and service were great. Food was served Hot! 🔥Seasonal lemon raspberry spritzer cocktail very good! Was a bit noisy due to two large tables. Typically not noisy.

I wish I could go every Friday. The atmosphere, service, food, and live music fill my soul.! If you like pizza, great people, drinks and sing along music what are you waiting for!! My family and I would give it 10 stars if we could!!!

Great food and service. Very nice to have a local spot to eat and have fun. Only problem is parking at certain times.

First, I realize it was Mother's Day, so the place would be slammed, but that means you should be on your game. I made a reservation for 11 4 weeks ago, confirmed it twice. We were celebrating Mother's Day, my eldest son's birthday and my 70th Birthday. Drinks came fine, appetizers came out fine, and then things started falling apart. 6 adults - 4 ordered salads, 2 ordered soup. Salads pretty much came out together - no soup. Server comes by apologizing, says she is working on it. More time goes by, she come back and says they are all our of minestrone. At 6:30 pm? Says she'd box up a salad to go, which never materialized. Then entrees start arriving - one son's came out, no one else's. He pretty much finished his by the time the other 5 came out. I did see the owner finally arrive and go into the kitchen, and that's when more food started coming out. Just no pacing to insure everyone got their food at nearly the same time. Meal was adequate - we had better a year ago there with a larger group. Just disappointing.

The restaurant is incredibly loud. Why in the world would a restaurant hire someone to sing and play the guitar with the amps blasting on a Friday at 6:30pm. No one could talk at the tables. Pizza is fair, thin crust is like cardboard. Asked for extra thin crust and seriously the crust was like a cardboard box. The eggplant stack could have been much better. All in all I will not be back.
