Under new ownership, local celebrity chef Billy Trudsoe a native to the Adirondacks who you saw on Hells Kitchen “battle of the ages,” season 21 on the Fox network has taken over this historic restaurant. You can try Chef’s world famous, “black forest chicken” his signature dish he presented to Gordon Ramsay. Also, his divers scallops which helped seal a big win for the blue team during a challenge. Chef Billy's team has developed an upscale casual dining concept right here, in the heart of Warrensburg , New York. Building his brand “BTrue’s Mad Flava,” our restaurant will offer creative dishes for everyone. Chef Billy is an award-winning chef, that has been cooking up delightful meals for his patrons throughout the Adirondacks for over 25+ years. The food was outstanding. The service was exceptional. Billy came out himself from cooking and greeted all of his guests and asked how the meal was. The atmosphere was wonderful. A five star rating is not high enough. This is a must go to restaurant.

Our family loves to eat here! Chef Billy is so creative and makes delicious food! Beautiful atmosphere, incredible staff and most of all a wonderful menu!

Service for 2 was fast and very friendly for an early dinner on a not crowded Saturday; appetizer was a tuna tartare which was excellent and I had the special steak platter, but found the roasted garlic bourbon sauce rather bland with meat that didn't seem preseasoned and creamed spinach was runny. dessert was a creme brule donut glazed with custard like filling. Interesting dessert which my wife said was just ok. $150 with 1 drink, 1 app and 1 dessert. I will go back to try some other menu items but on first pass the menu was more interesting than the meal for the price.

Had a great experience at Lizzie Keays tonight! Service was prompt and attentive. Food was delicious. The best restaurant we’ve tried in the Lake George area.

This was a delightful surprise. We entered the restaurant not knowing what to expect. We sat down at a table with black linens, we were delivered warm rolls and speciality butter. The menu has a many delicious options. We didn’t have a cocktail but they have a full bar. The salads are unique, so fresh with good portions. There are many choices for entrees, my husband had the scallops and I the halibut special, wow both amazing dishes. Can’t wait to return to try something else.

We’re regular summer visitors to the Adirondacks. We were initially disappointed that a favorite spot, Basil&Wicks had closed, but delighted to find that the chef had resurfaced with Lizzie Keays. The new menu overall has the same classy and thoughtful vibe. The new venue has a more traditional restaurant feel and decor than the previous apres ski (understandable since it was near Gore Mt). Ambience, service, and food still at a high level, making for an enjoyable evening.

I was looking forward to going to Lizzy Keays but unfortunately I was extremely disappointed. Place was very loud with two large parties. I should have reserved a table in the bar area. Our appetizer took 52 minutes to arrive. The presentation of the shrimp cocktail was lackluster. My husband ordered a beer which wasn't cold and we told the waitress that he couldn't drink it. She nicely said she would take it off the bill but if there was a cold beer, he would have preferred that When our entrees finally arrived, my mushroom ravioli was lukewarm and not hot. I wanted to send it back to have it heated but my husband was afraid it would take too long again to get it returned to us. Bread was a small portion with very little butter. Overall, prices were too high for what we were served. They need to concentrate on their temperatures and getting more attentive help ---ex. refill empty water glasses, explain food delays, remove used plates, ask if we needed anything else, etc. My recommendation is to try another venue.

Lizzie Keays has landed a well earned spot on our restaurant rotation. The food, service and atmosphere are worth repeat visits. My husband and I dined there last night and shared a delicious spinach salad for starters, I then had the always tasty Black Forest chicken. My husband really enjoyed his salmon entree. The restaurant usually offers three special entrees, adding variety for repeat diners. The wait staff is always, friendly, attentive and professional. The bar offers interesting cocktails and a reasonable wine list. We will return.

Absolutely must try! Started with a couple drinks (the moonshine mule is delicious) and the Shrimp Cocktail. The Thai chili was a nice addition to an otherwise standard cocktail sauce. The Diver Scallops entree is wonderful, full of flavor. But the star of the show is the Dijon Walnut Crusted Salmon. Easily the best salmon I have ever had. The walnut crust added amazing texture and that bourbon glaze!!! Chefs kiss! Topped off the night with the crème brûlée donut. Apparently a fan favorite and I can see why. If you’re a crème brûlée fan, try it, you won’t be disappointed. The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu items. The bar tender Nick is delightful. Our server Corbin is super sweet. The chef and owner Bill is super friendly and came out and spoke to us quite a few times. It was so good that we’re coming back in a couple days for live music and dinner. Even bringing the family as we found out they also have a kids menu. Win win! You MUST try. Worth the very SHORT drive from neighboring resort towns like Boltons Landing, Lake George and the surrounding areas.

Father’s Day dinner was excellent, swordfish special was very good cooked perfectly…. The signature chicken & risotto also excellent, the burger was cooked perfectly. The pistachio cake and crème brûlée donut were excellent!
