Lunch on a Sunday-quite crowded but were seated on time. Took a long time to order then to get the food. Loved the salmon over beet salad. We did not like the chicken sandwich at all. Tasted like burned rubber & not much chicken on it. Sweet potato fries & lemonade were great.

I enjoyed a Lavender Lemon drop drink which was delightful and ordered the Kitchen salad. Gosh I love that salad! It's my definition of perfection! so many strawberries, blueberries and toasted, slivered almonds... perfect crunch. This is the salad you get when you are craving a spring salad. the Lavender Lemon drop was a delightfully complimentary drink.

Great food! Signature coffee drinks ok but light on the coffee. Overall a bit pricey if you are on a budget. 2 OJs were $14 sans booze. ☹️
The Kitchen on PennResponded on June 18, 2025
Pamela, thank you for your review and feedback. We're glad you enjoyed the food, but we regret that the coffee drinks and pricing did not fully meet your expectations. We aim to provide value for our guests by sourcing the freshest, highest-quality ingredients, which does impact pricing. However, we strive to keep our prices fair and competitive. In this case, the Orange Juices are freshly squeezed and the coffee is a house signature blend sourced from Nicholas Coffee in Pittsburgh. We will look into the robust quality to ensure brew efficiency. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. Best Regards, Management

FANTASTIC food. The risotto balls were amazing and a must try! Brussels were great. Best filet I’ve had in a long time. The chef hit behind w our order so he came out personally to apologize what great service. Our server Laura was attentive and fun!! It was pricey but worth every dollar. Never mind paying for great food / service. I can’t wait to go back!!

My friend and I had a wonderful lunch, and we will definitely return! The Caprese Grilled Cheese is without a doubt the best sandwich I've ever eaten. When combined with the Tomato Bisque Soup it was the perfect comfort food on a cold, wet, rainy day. The service was great, and I highly recommend this dining delight!

Our waitress, can’t say her name but I’ll try to spell it…Florentinia or something like that…was very attentive, great personality and very friendly and pleasant. She refilled the coffee without being asked and brought us several refreshed carafes of water, again, we didn’t have to ask. So many in the food service world have forgotten that! She was super. Food was good and a variety of choices were at the table—good selection without being too complicated. You will find something here to eat and it was all reported as good by our party. The top score though was clearly our server. Great job! Service brings the customer back so well done.
