Great food , drinks and service. Fun place , great bar , looks like a good place for happy hour but we had dinner. Really liked the saltspring mussels, pork belly tacos, poblano rice and Elote. Everyone really enjoyed the drink the Lucky threes too.

Went there for a birthday celebration. We ALL loved the food! Layers of flavors and delicious! We tried the fried chicken appetizer and the puréed bean dish both delicious. For dinner we ordered the pork chop, shrimp dish and the mussels - all so flavorful. The pork chop was huge!! Finally we ended with the banana bread and peanut butter sauce and we also not disappointed. Our server was also fantastic! We were so happy to have tried a new restaurant in town and we will now become regulars!

Kayla was an amazing server/bartender. This was our first visit, and she made sure to alert us to features of the menu that could have been surprising (strong cocktail, unusual ingredients). For our adventurous palates, this was an enhancement! Food was delicious. We’ve eaten at Topolobampo, and noted that many of the flavors (especially the roasted tomato salsa, the bean dip and the skirt steak taco) would have been right at home on Rick Bayless’s menu. The price per item was a bit higher than some places, but the presentation and taste highlighted the value the team places on their craft. You can get a cheaper taco at a lot of places, but you’d be hard pressed to find a better one. We will be back!

Happened upon Vecina after nearby nail appointment and decided to try it since didn’t know it was there! The atmosphere is modern and cool but obviously others don’t know about it either as it was almost empty. All four of us had different things and we were all pleased with our food choices: ceviche, brisket tacos, steak tacos and Mexican shrimp. It was plenty of food. Our waiter was hard to tack down a few times but other staff helped. It’s a little pricey but my real complaint is the price of the Papi’s Paloma. It’s tasty but $20 is too much for the size of the drink. Will go again but will have a drink at home first.

What a diamond in the rough. So unassuming from the outside, but the food was phenomenal! Very friendly staff and a very nice atmosphere! Everything we ordered was very flavorful and balanced in every way.

The restaurant was nearly empty, with only two other tables occupied, yet we felt rushed by the server. At 8:00 PM, we were informed that the establishment would close at 9:00 PM, and she urged us to finish our meal. We were still eating and had plenty of food remaining on our dishes. At 8:30 PM, we ordered another drink and were questioned about our intentions, with the server asking, “Are you going to drink this until 9:00? Of which we said maybe? Could be earlier? We are just enjoying our food and company. It seemed she was eager to clear us out as quickly as possible. Which with only two other tables occupied during our two hours there…. Service is probably the reason and the reason it may not survive.
