   Great menu options. I was able to order from the vegan menu section and my daughter had an excellent steak. The river views are awesome!

   we were lucky to snag a reservation for mother's day brunch and we really enjoyed it! the food, service, and ambiance was on point. the drink menu is also extensive and the view is beautiful. it's nice to have a black owned restaurant like this in downtown memphis.

   Booked for five adults and sat at a table for 4 instead. When I mentioned to our waitress about the issue she told me that they were booked up and could not change our table. Our eggs tasted like motel 6 eggs with no seasoning and lackluster look. The entire table ordered the Mahogany Breakfast in which several pieces of the chicken were either under seasoned or down right inedible. A little disappointed especially since it was Mother’s Day and we’ve been to Mahogany Memphis before.

   I had family in town and visited for Mother's Day. As always the ambiance is very nice and the violinist present on today was a nice added touch. The food and presentation was really good. The eggs were somewhat soupy. One of the primary complaints is the slow service. Whether it is a slow day or busy day. The kitchen is slow. If you are in a hurry, not the right place but if plan for some time to wait, then it's an excellent choice.

   Excellent food and service! The staff is friendly and so patient with their customers. You're greeted with a smile upon entering the building.

    I had a reservation for 5 @ 0700 for my wife’s Birthday. My group of 5 was sat at an extremely small 4 top could have been considered a 2 top in some restaurants. I have never had this happen at a restaurant that is supposed to be fine dining. I ordered appetizers and they could not even fit on the table due to the lack of space. I requested a bigger table and they said the hostess had to make that decision. I asked to speak to the manager. 10 minutes later I inquired again and they sent the young hostess. I reiterated that I wanted to speak to the manager. She finally came up after I told them to cancel my order if the manager was too busy to come speak with me about seating. About another 10 minutes later passed and as we were about to walk out the manager came. She told me the only place where a bigger table was available was out on the patio. It was a pretty night so I said that would be fine. Little did I know that there was no outside lights beside some very small solar power table lamps. When the apps came out it was still light outside. Then the mosquito’s came!!! By the time our dinner came out it was dark and light was scarce. All this to say I might expect this from a chilis or a restaurant or that caliber but have never had this issue at a restaurant that is supposed to be fine dining. Food was delicious so that’s a positive.
