   Food was as good as the other locations but I felt like they was trying to rush my party out of there fast it’s a Tuesday it wasn’t that crowded and nobody was waiting.

   The carne tampiquena steak was overdone, and a replacement was not brought until long after the plates were taken away, table cleaned, and I had to follow up. The shrimp taco for the cabo azul never was brought out, and we had forgotten about it until after the meal. The server seemed to be confused or unaware that the “ahi” ceviche contained tuna fish. There were no apologies or offers to resolve the inconvenience, but we still left a customary tip amount, on top of the separate and very generous tip for the bar staff. We never have had these issues at the Newport Beach or Irvine locations. Do a better job with the service.

   I had an amazing experience at Javier's DTLA! From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the beautiful scent of fresh flowers and the stunning ambiance. The atmosphere is perfect for a night out – elegant, yet welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was top-notch. Every dish was prepared to perfection, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a fantastic time. Definitely the new hot spot in DTLA – I can’t wait to come back!

   Food was great! and we’re pretty sure we sat next to the Javier himself. The man had an aura… or maybe just really good taste in enchiladas. Either way, 10/10 experience.

   Javier’s delivers a sophisticated dining experience with a perfect balance of bold flavors and elegant presentation. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels upscale yet inviting, with dim lighting, rich décor, and attentive service. The menu offers a refined take on traditional Mexican cuisine standouts include the Enchilada de camarón, the tablita and their signature margaritas, which are some of the best in town. While prices are on the higher side, the quality of ingredients and the overall ambiance make it worth the splurge. Highly recommended for special occasions or date nights.

   We had a reservation at 9:00 pm. We waited for over an hour and a half for our table, and were never seated. We ended up leaving.
