Really wanted to give an outstanding review but I can’t. We went with expectations of mind blowing flavors to meet the ambiance. Which was a 10 along with service. We started with ceviche and it was a fail. Thé flavors just didn’t give ceviche more like flavored tomatoes from the cilantro. Followed by the crispy rice which tasted like old oil being reused to fry the rice. Zero flavors and missed the mark.!! Unfortunately The skewers definitely had flavor and would order again but definitely a tapas for one and not a meal. Lobster roll was not it and I’ve had better at Publix. Thé Seabass was delicious but again a tapas for one and not a meal. Unfortunately leaving hungry. Has great potential go back to the board with some of the menu options.

The food was excellent, but a bit sparse. Would suggest getting several items to share. It was a bit loud where we were due to a large table nearby. We could barely hear the server. The larger party left and it was much quieter. Ambiance was gorgeous.

Sake a GoGo is the latest go to place in Louisville for sushi and Japanese cuisine. The restaurant itself is beautiful - ambience is absolutely amazing and worth checking out. The food - was good. Fine really - I may have went with huge expectations but I expected the best sushi in Louisville. I didn’t find that. I have had better sushi at some other places in the Highlands and Frankfort Avenue. The sushi menu was rather limited - and the lobster makimono roll was like anything else I’ve encountered at a typical sushi restaurant. The sake - also a limited menu - highly over priced bottles of sake….$800? Really? Maybe I’m just too much of an average guy to enjoy this type of restaurant. When I’m craving sushi, I’ll be hitting up some of the local Japanese places in Louisville. Not Sake a Go Go.

The food & specialty cocktails are amazing! Highly recommend the Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice, Korean Style Chicken Wings, Butter Poached Lobster Roll & Prime Rib Negima.

Salads were excellent. Be sure to know that it is small plate shareable. We ordered an app, a salad each and an entree each and should have ordered one more item. Service was fabulous. Cocktail was fabulous.
