   This was my second time going to this restaurant. My first experience was so amazing that I wanted to make this our go to place for special occasions or a nice date night. Everything was off from the time we were seated. Service was slow but not bad. We went to the salad bar a couple of times before we finally got our first round of food. It was just so slow. Chicken came, then 15 mins later some beef and another 15-20mins later pork. Finally at the end I asked for containers to take away the potatoes and plantains, which were untouched. This was part of the meal we order not salad bar or the meat. But we weren’t allowed to take it out, no reason why. The server only said his manager said no. The bill came, $285, I paid and left. Maybe my expectations were set too high by my first visit. My wife noted that it wasn’t even as busy as the first time. I hope they can find some way to get back to that high level. When they do, I will definitely be back.

   I arrived at 9:30 for a 9:30 reservation. We were immediately invited to wait while several other people were seated. Thereafter, we were soon offered steak by a waiter who did not speak English, which would not be an issue, except my girlfriend is allergic to dairy and the man did not know what that was. (Chat GPT informed us that FDC doesn’t baste their steaks in butter which was good to know, but not where you want your tableside information to come from) The steak we were served was either very very well done or borderline rare (in other branches of Fogo de Chao I was asked what temperature I wanted, not so here), very few waiters came around with food very infrequently, and the salad bar looked dicey and betting on it being ok turned out to be a losing gamble by me and said girlfriend (we both walked out in stomach pain). I wound up just paying at the bar and leaving still vaguely hungry. Would not return. That being said, the manager was friendly and professional, and my girlfriend liked the Diet Coke she was served. 1.3/10

   I really get the concept of the restaurant but it wasn’t me or my son cup of tea. We like out meat cooked well done. A lot of the meat was medium well. The salad bar was mediocre. It just wasn’t amazing. The customer service was exceptional & the lobster mash potatoes was so good.

   Fogo is one of my favorite places. The food is always great. I love the marketplace table and absolutely love all the meats. Nothing misses. My only issue was where they sat us off to the side and the server forgot about us for about an hour. We had to track him down for drinks. He apologized and made up for it. Will always come back

   Service was terrible. our table was continuously bypassed when the servers came around with meat, despite us being seated DIRECTLY in front of the market table + grill. We never received refills of mashed potatoes until AFTER we paid the bill. (A bill that was brought to the table mid meal because someone told the host our table requested the bill, which we NEVER did.) We were served the same 3 cuts of meat, even though we got FULL CHURRASCO Full Churrasco experience. For 70$ a person there needs to be better attention paid to the variety of meats going out to guests. A piece of sausage, garlic steak, and 3 offerings of the same Picanha is insane when the menu lists at least 6 varieties of cuts “and more!”. Also- it was noted in our reservation that we were coming in for my birthday. No acknowledgement was made to the occasion that brought us to the restaurant, and the overall experience was so disappointing we skipped dessert altogether. We enjoy eating at fogo, but with this experience it’s safe to say we won’t be returning to the location in Brooklyn.

    Great experience with friends and family for our shared birthday. Would definitely do it again. Great meal and good drinks. Everyone had a wonderful time.
