From the OpenTable editors: Chef Andrew Zimmerman's seasonal American tasting menu is so good that this West Loop favorite has consistently held on to a MICHELIN Star since first getting one in 2011. You'll get to choose from several options in your four-course dinner, which might include dishes like crispy ricotta gnudi, roasted monkfish with little neck clams, and a sweet pea pavlova with meyer lemon sorbet. You'll definitely want to get the wine pairing—Sepia won Wine Spectator's 2022 Best of Award of Excellence. Eating here feels extra-special because it's housed in an 1890 print shop with Art Nouveau floors and exposed-brick walls.

    Extraordinary food creations with excellent wine pairing elevating the experience even more, and at the end unexpectedly the best dessert I ever tasted. Cristina our waitress was awesome 😀

    I like the flavor profile and the chef has clearly defined his own. One thing which stood out for me is the level of umami. I kind of thought during dinner the chef is quite into very heavy umami in his dishes. Overall it is an approachable and relax enjoyable dining experience. One dish stood out for me is the Hamachi with Strawberries.

    This was our first time at Sepia, and it was incredible. One of the best tasting menus we have experienced in Chicago (and overall). Perfectly paced, the wine pairings were excellent, great service and most importantly, wonderful food! We will be coming back for sure!

    We had the Chef's experience dinner and it was absolutely wonderful!! Food was terrific, cocktails and non-alcoholic options were all great!! Service was fun and friendly and wonderful. Thanks so much for a great experience!!

    As usual, everything was spectacular! We've been to Sepia probably a couple dozen times and it always supersedes my expectations. I love bringing people there. My sister-in-law and niece were here from NY and they loved it-my sister-in-law's 2nd time there. I simply love the place. The food is like no other, I always say it's the cleanest food I've ever had. Amazing place.

    Went to Sepia, expecting excellent food but uncertain about the ambience and the room. Sepia did not disappoint. Our party of three chose the four course menu with wine and/or non-alcoholic pairings. The food was exceptional. Each course was excellently prepared and presented. Wines and beverages were matched very well. Although we dressed up a bit, the restaurant is not stuffy or pretentious. It was extremely comfortable. Service was excellent. Our server Erin S. was superb. She was able to read our table's personality and offered knowledgeable, but professionally casual service. We will be back.

    Ordered the chef experience with wine pairing (6 pours). Knew I was in for a good time with the first bite of the prosciutto donut with a generous shave of truffle. Even loved the last two dessert items that I thought I wouldn’t like and the red wines I normally wouldn’t like when paired with the food. The staff seemed genuinely friendly instead of the snobbery experienced a couple other places.
