   Celebrated my 30th birthday with my partner. The restaurant was busy as expected for Charlotte Restaurant Week BUT the flow of service and attentiveness was still too tied

   First time visitor. Great ambiance and excellent service. They really take care of you from apps to dessert. My only complaint was the chicken parmigiana had some chewy pieces. Not trimmed correctly or I just got a bad piece. 90% was delicious but not knowing what the next bite would hold made it minus one star. Wife loved her shrimp.

   Entering the front door, being sitted at our table and the server was excellent. Our server (Mia), had great knowledge and was point on about the food, drinks, even bringing up the membership and what it offered. Everyone worked like a fine oiled machine. Even the person's that were not taking care of us. Great time here!

    Ours was a most outstanding outing and event. Making Tuesday night a special night by taking part in Queen's Feast was a good decision on our part. Our server, David, was most accommodating, informative, and attentive. The wine and food pairing was just right. We particularly enjoyed the people-watching; the staff at work and the training of a new wait-staff person. We were not rushed between courses and we enjoyed lingering over coffee after sumptuous desserts. Perhaps we may try the lunch menu soon.

    Unfortunately the food wasn’t great, the steaks and shrimp all arrived cold and our filets had no flavor. My friend barely touched hers, and I did not finish mine. I had a beefsteak tomato salad, and the tomatoes were hard and flavorless as well. The service was good, and everyone was nice but the food fell very short. Even with it being restaurant week, the meal wasn’t worth the $45.

    Today’s food journey took us to a new stop, The Palm, and gave us a greater appreciation of food creativity! We had a very difficult time deciding on what dishes we would try because EVERYTHING sounded delicious and each one would be something great for your last meal! After about 15 minutes, and just as many questions to the waiter, we decided to start with the Calamari Fritto Misto which is lightly breaded calamari, tri-colored peppers, cherry peppers, pickled lemon, and served with a marinara on the side. The calamari was tender with a very light breading and had some pieces of cherry peppers served the same way, which caught us by surprise after the first few bites of digging in. After, we ordered the Sea Bass Oscar, with a lump crab meat stuffing, asparagus, and hollandaise sauce and the Octopus & Bone Marrow Ragu which is a fusilli pasta, braised octopus & bone marrow, Italian crumbs, and a horseradish gremolata. As a side we ordered the Black Truffle Gnocchi, and a bottle of Stags’ Leap Chardonnay to round out the meal. The Seabass was very delicate and crumbled apart with any pressure from the fork. And the asparagus, while cooked through, still had a crispness and a fresh flavor like it was picked this morning! In a dish like this, the hollandaise sauce normally plays second fiddle, but the sea bass and the sauce were dueling banjos! In the ragu, the octopus was tender, easy to cut, and had a slightly grilled flavor which was complemented by the rich, balanced ragu tomato sauce! If this were a James Bond criminal, it would be “Depth of flavor galore”! 😎 As for the gnocchi, the truffle flavor was present without being overpowering, and the texture was soft and best described by my wife as “little pillows of happiness “. For dessert we had the tiramisu and the chocolate layer cake with 2 cups of their delicious, albeit strong, coffee. Surprisingly, neither dessert was that sweet but provided a good end to a fantastic meal!

    Service and ambiance great. Food was awful. Sent filet back twice - undercooked. Pasta and chicken lacked flavor. Chicken noodle soup tastes like $1 Campbells. Bread, martini and wine delicious. Will not be back. For the money - go to Morton’s,Ruth Chris, or Capital Grille.

    Not nearly as good as years past... they used to be one of go to places for outstanding food, but really not the case anymore. they're still good, but have gotten VERY expensive and just down a bit on quality and portion sizes...

    Great ambiance, wait staff was amazing and the food was delish! Overall great experience. Had to wait about 15 mins for our table with a reservation but they were very busy and it took awhile to get our coats back due to the Hostess not being available when we left but the water/packaging and food server gentleman was great and helped us promptly.

    From our welcome from Coby at the valet, greeting from Joe upon entry, to the excellent drinks at the bar made by Autum, to the best server, Hana, we had a terrific time and a great meal. Have to say the tiramisu was the best ever!

    The staff kept on interrupting us and tried to take the plates and food before we were done. The drinks were not made right and the server even suggested another restaurant where the drinks were better. Very odd. Not the Palm that I’m used to. Very sad

    We brought our 2 boys age 5 and 3 after a 5 hour trip from skiing. They were tired! He staff made us all feel welcome. They brought little toy cars for them. We ordered the lobster and they LOVED it ( their words). Absolutely fantastic experience. I’ve eaten at other locations, especially Los Angeles and always loved it but they went above and beyond. Thanks very much. We don’t feed them lobster very often but I think this is our new annual post ski celebration.

    Came in and found the place emptier than expected. But that’s okay. It was admittedly a little early for most dinners (6:30 pm). We were greeted by the friendly host without delay and got whisked away to our table by a well dressed and knowledgeable young waiter. Said waiter made a variety of recommendations for drinks, appetizers, and entrees. The prices were high, but for the quality of food and service we received it was well worth the bill. We both had huge filets with family sized portions of mushrooms and mashed potatoes. Everything was delicious and cooked to order. Would certainly recommend for a date night or special occasion.

    Christmas dinner. My 12 oz filet at medium rare was chewy and a bit dry. No where close to the $59 price. Not sure I’d pay 20 for it if I could have the same. Waiter was great and the best part of the experience

    My 8oz. filet @ $53.00 was awful. Tough, chewy. Just terrible. I could not eat it. I will never be going back. I having been to the Palm for the past 3 Christmases and have never had an issue with the quality of the meal. I expected a first rate melt in your mouth filet. This was not. I don't mind paying for a great steak. In fact that's why I've always gone to high end restaurants for a good steak. The Palm prides itself on their quality of their meats...this was an epic fail on their part. I did not mention it to waitress because it was Christmas and I did not want to upset my son, who joined me for our celebration. I was just so disappointed that I won't return again. Last Christmas I was in DC with family and went to BLT restaurant. Now that was outstanding! There were six of us and everyone's steak was perfectly tender. That is what I expected at the Palm.
