I came here to celebrate my anniversary with my fiancé, and from start to finish, it was an incredible experience. As someone who's Mexican, I’m often skeptical of high-end Mexican restaurants—but this place exceeded all expectations. The food quality was outstanding and truly matched the price, which is rare. Every dish was full of authentic flavor with an elevated twist that still honored tradition. The service was impeccable—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The ambiance was perfect for a special night out: lively yet intimate, with great music and decor that made the evening feel extra special. It’s hard to find a place that nails the food and the vibe, but this restaurant did exactly that. They've officially earned a new regular. Highly recommend!

Came with a party of 8 for a birthday. The restaurant was full on a Wednesday evening at 6:30pm, ordered margaritas and they took over 20 minutes to get to the table. Food was delicious and server was very nice. The ladies dancing around doing Traditional Mexican dances was enjoyed as well.

I enjoyed my first time at El Mexicano. The food was very good. Cocktails were also very good. Service was excellent. It was a little warm in there, but informed that the AC had been down. My family and I will go again.

We recently visited The Mexicano in Chandler, and while the food was genuinely delicious and the entertainment added a nice touch to the atmosphere, the overall experience was overshadowed by incredibly poor service. One of our guests asked for more salsa, only to be told by the waitress to “just share with someone else at the table.” We had a table of 8 and the only other salsa was on the other end of the table. Another ordered a flight of margaritas and politely asked what the flavors were — the waitress flatly responded, “I’m not gonna be able to help you with that.” She came to our table only three times throughout the entire meal — once to take our initial drink order, once to take our food order, and finally to drop off the check. At no point did she return to check on us, refill waters, or take any additional drink orders. It was clear she was disengaged, unresponsive, and not enjoying her shift, which affected the vibe at our table. To make matters worse, the air conditioning was out — mid-summer, with temperatures hitting 110 degrees — and large port-a-coolers were scattered throughout the restaurant in an attempt to compensate. Unfortunately, it didn’t do much to make the dining environment comfortable, which was disappointing. It’s unfortunate because the kitchen clearly delivers — the flavors were bold, portions generous, and the presentation was on point. The entertainment was a fun bonus. But when service is this lacking and the environment is physically uncomfortable, it takes away from what could’ve been a great night out. If The Mexicano wants to keep guests coming back, they’ll need to ensure the front-of-house team is just as invested in the experience as the chefs clearly are.

Loved the ambience of the restaurant and enjoyed the chicken tinga enchiladas. My strawberry margarita was delicious and loved the entertainment from the dancers. Beautiful place inside and everyone enjoyed their food. We even chatted with the manager for a while and he was very nice.

Usiel has done it again! He has brought together an amazing staff and created an extraordinary atmosphere for family/friend get-togethers. Manny was our server. It felt more like being in the home of a dear friend. His gracious, out-going disposition matched our energy 100%. He had suggestions and great feedback for our questions. We will definitely be back.

Upscale Mexican food in a hip environment. The only downside is the noise level, I get it I'm an older customer and I love to turn up the tunes, but I also enjoy conversation with my fiance. I'll be back the food and drinks are very good I just wish restauranteurs would consider the value of being able to enjoy conversations with their meal.

Wonderful staff great food attention to detail ambience was lovely. The weight was really long. Luckily I made reservations. There were six of us. Everybody loved their food high-quality food, even met one of the cooks.

The food was good and our server was excellent but the noise was unbearable! Our party of 4 could not communicate. There was a DJ that should not have been so close to the dining area. We will only go back if we call first and be guaranteed no DJ!
