Oak Bistro was recommended to us as a restaurant that manages allergens well, and they did not disappoint. Their wine selection was nicely curated and the guava mocktail I had was delightful. The grilled Spanish octopus was outstanding, by far the best I've ever had, and it was very nearly outdone by the accompanying roasted potatoes. The duck confit with saffron risotto was excellent, with a delicate orange sauce that enhanced, rather than smothering, the crisp, delicious meat. The panna cotta for dessert floored me. I had no idea you could do that with coconut milk! One of the best meals I've ever had, and all of it wheat- and dairy-free. The service was excellent, the seating comfortable, the atmosphere relaxing. Noise level was perfect, a nice background buzz of conversation that was never loud enough to interfere with our own conversation. On the whole, a delightful experience I would love to repeat.

While our food tasted really good, we waited over 45 minutes to get any food served to us. Our waitress was very nice but it seems the kitchen staff were unable to keep up with the demand. We visited here on a Tuesday night at about 6 pm and we had a reservation.

Great food with a slight Brazilian twist. Very reasonable prices and very good service. I also learned that this place is open till 2 AM on many nights which makes it a great late night option in the city that doesn’t have many late night options.

Everything was fantastic, especially the fact that the music wasn’t so loud I could actually hear people talk The only problem I had was the way they packed leftovers to go. When I opened the containers at home it looked like they basically threw the food into the containers which is a shame because theylresentation on the plate looked beautiful, but it was a whole mess when I opened up the leftover containers!
