   Everything went wrong, from the hostess, not speaking with the outside hostess, our waiter said that the bartender makes drinks faster for the people who drink outside, and the food was mediocre. Bring back the old Rye Street.

   On this beautiful Thursday night, the music playing on the outdoor patio was too loud for us to hear one another, so we asked to be seated inside. There was a party of six near us who were making more noise than everyone out on the patio — it was impossible for us to hear one another talk. The hostess refused to ask them to tone down their voices and moved us to a corner booth — with no view. The appetizer arrived with the meal. The fried oysters were tasteless, and the salad, which we’d hoped to share, was tiny. I will not be going back. At least the cocktails were good…..

   We were 4 diners. The food for 3 of us was OK. The fourth ordered a hamburger which arrived cold. We sent it back and the replacement was way overcooked. The service was extremely slow. a normal meal should have taken 1.5 to 2 hours. This one took almost 3 hours.

   Ran out of a lot of stuff due to Mother’s Day weekend. Food was extremely good otherwise & ambiance was amazing

   We had a nice dining experience at Rye Street Tavern. This was our second visit, the last time was back in November. One of the managers on duty (MOD) ended up taking our drink and food orders, which was unexpected but handled smoothly. We ordered the warm Parker House rolls to start. Karen got the cheeseburger, Evan asked for a “plain” kids burger, and I ordered the chicken and mushroom fettuccine. As we finished ordering, our actual server arrived and asked if everything was fine, while the MOD assured him that he had it covered. A little while later, we started joking that the rolls weren’t coming, and we were right. They never arrived, and they weren’t on the bill either. When the food did come out, Evan’s burger arrived with cheese. To be fair, the kids menu does call it a cheeseburger, so “plain” may have been interpreted as just no condiments. This also happened during our November visit. On the bright side, they replaced it unbelievably fast, which makes me think it was a simple mix-up rather than a kitchen mistake. The food was good. Everything was well cooked and flavorful. That said, I would’ve liked a bit more chicken on the Chicken & Mushroom Fettuccine, especially given the price. Finally, just a suggestion: in my opinion, one order of the Parker House rolls should be complimentary with a meal, and then maybe charge $6 for a second helping. On a high note, I really enjoyed the Bed O’ Roses cocktail. It was a perfect drink for sitting outside and taking in the view of the Patapsco River.

   The service was poor. The food didn't taste well at all. The place was just too loud. The waitress made all kind of excuses.

   RST has all the potential. The restaurant is well done and the food is decent, but the management and service is woefully inadequate. The individual waiters were actually very pleasant, but they are set up to fail. We were offered a glass of water 45 min after our reservation. One waiter does drinks. She took our drink order, the drinks were made about 10 minutes later and sitting at the bar within our view, and we watched the ice melt for 15 minutes as the waitress came and went time and again without serving them. Only after we asked if they were our drinks did she realize they were, and served them to us. The food we ordered was pretty simple (crab cake, fries and coleslaw), but it took nearly an hour to arrive, and then only 2 of the 3 items showed up. We had to track down the manager to get the 3rd. It was also inconsistent. My wife and I ordered the same thing but the plates were so remarkably different you couldn’t tell it was the same thing. It really could be a great restaurant, especially with the outdoor seating option, but the management needs some significantly better direction from the owner.

    Our server, Logan, was especially gracious and the food was very tasty and sufficient. We had a wonderful food experience!
