Dynamic, energetic + a lover of the world of wine + viticulture, Pepe Raventós' association world of cava goes back to when he was young + spent his summers picking grapes at Sant Sadurní, where 21 generations of his family have lived since the end of the 15th century. Pepe has made Raventós i Blanc one of the best sparkling wines in the world, faithful to a unique estate, a specific climate + a method that pursues excellence with minimum human intervention.

Very nice evening out to this restaurant for the first time, wait staff was amazing and explained everything on the menu in detail. A couple of our ordered items never came (a salad) but we were also not charged for it, so prob just a miss, some of the sides came out cold, but the rest of the meal and drinks were very good.

Service was great. It’s a beautiful place. We had a seafood tower that was very good although the oysters were a little small. The other items seemed over priced. I had the appetizer order of fried clams. There were only 4 clams. The twin lobster rolls were also over priced.

We were the only ones there and it took 2.5 hours to get oysters and some lobster rolls, too busy cleaning the kitchen at the end of the night.. wasn’t impressed.

I think that the restaurant was severely understaffed. We had to repeatedly remind the wait staff to bring food items. Even something as simple as the raw oysters took 20 to 30 minutes to appear. The burrata was served in a little cereal bowl which I’ve never seen before anywhere. The Hen of the Woods mushroom was charred and did not have much flavor and the polenta was just barely warm; I think it had been sitting around for a while. My dining companion said their fish sandwiches were good but nothing special. It’s really a shame because the restaurant is in a great location and we wanted to like this very much. Given the competition for restaurants in the Boston area I can’t justify returning again. Lunch for five people was over $300. This is one of my favorite restaurants in all of Seaport, Boston, MA -- where there are many great restaurants. The chef even added a hors de oeuvres of cod cheeks -- which was one of the best fish preparations I have ever had ! Oysters were terrific, and the swordfish was fantastic. I've had most of the fish dishes here and there has never been anything less than excellent. Strongly recommend !
