I had received a gift certificate from a family member (out of State) for Rick Irwins. This was used for my 20th Wedding anniversary with my husband. This was one of the finest eat out experiences I remember. The staff was very welcoming. the setting was very quiet and intimate. Our food was excellent ( special note on the Oysters from Prince Edward Island. We were also treated to a new corn bread added to the the bread basket. Along with the extremely staff we were seated to a personalized Anniversary card. My husband and I agreed this was a superb dining experience that we will certainly repeat. Hats off to Rick Irwins in ClemsonS.C

We were ready to be seated and was told our table was ready and then another group walked in up to the hostess and she sat them before us and then came back later to seat us. Not good. When our appetizers and Aldo main courses were brought to the table they went to the wrong person with their food. I think the waitress must have written the order placement down incorrectly. When we told them who ordered what they reached across to serve instead of taking the plate to the specific person. The food was good but not worth the price. My Caesar salad had very very little dressing had no salt and no parmesan cheese. The steaks were tender and cooked as ordered. The au poivre sauce was very salty. The mushroom marsala sauce was good. One person ordered pork chop and said it had no salt or seasoning on it. Hope this helps.

Jessica and Aiden took great care of us. Our dinner was wonderful. Every single bite. I had the surf and turf, and my husband had the filet mignon. The steaks were cooked to perfection, and my crab cake was fresh and very good. For dessert we shared the strawberry cobbler. Again, delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant. The staff are highly attentive.

We opted to go to Rick Irwin’s, Patrick Square over Vangeli’s in Seneca for our anniversary dinner. We made reservations via Open Table for 7:00 pm, and arrived right at 7:00. We were pleasantly greeted, but told that they were a bit delayed, and they would seat us as soon as possible. At about 7:10 we were invited to go sit. To our surprise, we passed numerous empty tables in route to the table where we were seated. There was an “assistant” server who helped bring water while we waited for a server. After some time, the primary server showed up, but was noticeably distracted or overwhelmed. We ordered wine that did not show up for a lengthy time, which was acknowledged by the server who went to investigate, and then it took another 5 minutes to arrive. The server then took our order and we enjoyed some conversation for a while. We were taken back when he showed up after another period of and asked if we were ready to order. After we told him that we had already ordered, it appeared that he went to a computer station and then submitted our order. At this point it was obvious that he was juggling more balls at the same time than he could handle. Following this, the food was decent, and they even gave us a complementary desert for our anniversary (very nice), but we couldn’t help feeling discounted by the late seating and distracted service. We’ve been to Rick Irwin’s numerous times and enjoyed eating in the bar. This was our first time in the main dining room, which is likely our last. We’ll go back to Vangeli’s for future special occasion dinners.

Brought a friend who was visiting from California . He was (as I knew he would be) extremely impressed. Our waitress, Charlotte, was absolutely incredible! The food was amazing!

I was served soup, but given no spoon. Had to ask for one. The salad was very skimpy in ingredients…could have had more substantial flavors than just lettuce. The featured dessert of the evening was strawberry cobbler, which sounded seasonal and intriguing, but was actually verryyy disappointing. It could be equated to a packaged Hostess or Little Debbie snack cake, that was taken out of the packaging and served with a dollop of ice cream. Even the strawberries were a disappointment. Not fresh at all. I expected more from Rick Erwin’s. Nothing stellar or spectacular in this meal.

RE's is a nice steak restaurant. The service is good, but not outstanding. It's staffed by a lot of college students (which makes sense), but I find they lack a lot of menu knowledge for a place like this. The wine list is fairly extensive, HEAVY on CA cabs--but better values are found in their Euro Reds section. Our steak (porterhouse for two) was cooked to perfection. Our sides (mushrooms and whipped potatoes) were meh--not well seasoned, and sort of a half hearted try. For the record, we didn't pay for these, not because we complained, but because it took a while for a server to get to our table to take our first order for drinks, etc.--the manager noticed the time it took and made a lot of effort to make sure we were comfortable. His attentiveness and eye for detail were commensurate with an outstanding restaurant. I'd visit again, it's nice to have a nice place in Clemson when we visit our students. It's very good--but not outstanding.
