   Food was excellent. Service was warm and efficient. Birthday dessert was awesome. Loved everything, will be back!

   We had the curated chef's selection and the flavors in each dish were so distinct and delicious. We particularly enjoyed Breaking Bread (the bread and smoked yogurt condiment were amazing), as well as the pork shoulder and beans, as well as the pasta with pork (the last two may have only been on the chef's selection). Sitting at the chef's counter was fun and the service was extremely good.

   Dalida is a truly wonderful culinary experience. From the tasty sauces and delicious bread, to the best oysters I have ever had, to the gem salad with cured lemon finishing with sour cherry cake topped with white paper thin chocolate- our server was attentive and helpful and the decor very charming with the added touch of chirping birds in the restroom. We loved it all and crossed the street to stroll the Presidio for a breathtaking view of the bay. I cant believe it took this long to discover this Mediterranean jewel of a restaurant.

   Outrageously loud especially with the contribution of the background music which made people talk even louder. Very expensive. Food was good and traditional to the cuisines, but absent was the abundant fresh herbs and vegetables common to those cuisines. Lamb chops very distinctive with quality humus and jus. Octopus beautifully presented but overpowered by sauces. Washed gin martini very good. Wines outrageously and needlessly expensive with respect to quality. Sweetbreads cooked perfectly. Very good olive oil. Probably will not return given the price and noise.

   Dalida is a welcome addition to the northern tip of San Francisco. It is a lovely restaurant with many delicious options. It is a wonderful lunch spot. I personally am not a huge fan of “Mediterranean” food but this is an upscale take on Mediterranean. The spreads and fresh pita are delicious. The gem salad is one of the freshest anywhere. Plenty of great fish, meat or vegetarian options. The iced tea is especially refreshing. Many nicer places do not give refills, but Dalida does. I went twice this past month and each lunch was very nice!

   Upscale Mediterranean. Some exemplary bites, all good bites. We did the Chef's menu and received 4 starter bites, a bread and dip course, and three sharable entrees. We could eat the butternut squash goat cheese cubes all day long.

   Service was fab! It’s a great venue with great ambience! Cocktails were so so. The pita and dips are absolutely fantastic! Artichoke salad and asparagus salad were great! Fries and saffron rice were great! Sabzi wasn’t flavorful..chicken dish was bland..dessert - spice cherry cake and baklava were a total letdown..they used to have a fab rose tres leche - bummer that’s gone..it needs to be brought back! Dessert needs to be way way better for the price charged and quality expected

   The bread was fluffy and hot, the cocktails are creative and delicious, everyone there was nice and knowledgeable, we enjoyed the decor and the ambiance.

    The three of us were quite eager to try Dalida, but I regret to say that we were very , very disappointed. Not only did it get off to a bad start, in that it took forever for anyobe to acknowledge us ( over 10 minutes) or bring us menus, or water.,but then our cocktail order was incorrect. Portions were quite skimpy, the dishes were ill conceived and ill prepared as the meat and poultry dishes were dried out and tough when they should’ve been tender and succulent . The vegetable dishes were undercooked and over spiced and in very small portions. This is not an inexpensive restaurant. Our meal was rife with service missteps: wrong dishes being served, others forgotten completely and errors on the bill. That being said , the setting was quite lovely as we sat on the front porch on a warm day. Our server was quite friendly and accommodating, but that did not erase all the above issues.
