Introducing The Greggory, set to open in the Arboretum of South Barrington on March 7th, 2025. This restaurant redefines American classics with a touch of warm, sincere hospitality. The establishment is helmed by seasoned restaurateurs Gregg Horan of Gibsons Restaurant Group and Bill Veremis of Rosewood Steakhouse Group, alongside partner Executive Chef Jose Sosa of Gibsons Italia.
The Greggory caters to the increasing demand in the Northwest suburbs for a local venue that offers a sophisticated yet welcoming ambiance. With a focus on live-fire cooking in an open kitchen, the menu showcases prime cuts of beef, fresh seafood, and homemade pastas, blending time-honored culinary traditions with exceptional warmth and personality.

    Our first visit to the restaurant and it was an excellent experience from the service to the food. It was easy to see that even for a Wednesday they were busy.

    Food was great. Steaks, side and appetizers were all top notch. Restaurant itself is really nice and with the different rooms can offer different experiences and ambiances. Service was great and will definitely return

    Really enjoyed our first time at The Greggory. Food was great and would call out the Gruyere popovers, The Pigs in a Blanket, the Filet, and the Beef Stroganoff. All were outstanding. Cocktails were really good as well as there are plenty of options. I had the G's knees which had great flavor and was well presented. We will definitely come back to The Greggory.

    Wonderful family celebration. Great prime rib pop overs and lamb chops. Wait staff was very attentive and we will be back.

    This is by far the best "city vibe" restaurant in the north western burbs. The ambience was chic and upscale, staff was superior, and the food did not disappoint… larger than expected portions, and interesting flavor combinations. Expensive? Yes. Worth it? Yes. We will definitely be back

    Food is excellent except the fries which are steak-cut fries and too thick. With the vibe here, shoestring fries would be more appropriate.

    While the ambiance was very nice and the service very good, the drinks (tried two) were surprisingly poor and the entrees mixed -the pasta was lovely but the halibut, just okay.

    JODIE WAS A WONDERFUL SERVERVER , SHE WAS INFORMATIVE AND HELPFUL FOR THE MENUE. SHE DID NOT RUSH US. AL ASSISTED IN PICKING A BOTTLE A WINE AND HIS PICK WAS MORE THAN EXPECTED. WE ORDER FILEON MIGONS AND THE BEEF WAS BETTER THAN EXPECTED. THIS IS THE NEW PLACE TO GO.
