BONDST, located at 20 Hudson Yards, is the first ever expansion of the trendy downtown restaurant with a warm minimalist interior design. The cuisine is new Japanese with European and Asian influences.

The original BONDST is Citysearch's 2007 and 2008 audience award winner for Best Sushi in NYC, as well as the 2008 audience award winner for Best Martini in NYC.

I love Bond and have been several times. But yesterday something (or everything was off). The staff was very rude and not clear. We got drinks at the bar and when our table was ready I asked if we need to close tab or they would transfer and the host just stared at me. We waited 20 minutes one seated to be approached. It took 45 minutes after we got out food for anyone to stop by and ask if everything was ok and it was NOT busy. Two things came out wrong which has Never happened before. Everything tasted not fresh. Was very disappointing as we invited friends from out of town. We were there from 7pm -10:45PM not by choice, but because it was soooooooooooo slow.

The food is just ok. Rolls nothing special. Fried cauliflower and spicy crispy shrimp ok for fried, breaded, and doused in spicy mayo. The sushimi salmon was the best dish. The next best dish was tuna sashimi. But compared to Nobu both were no where near as good. Out table was never cleared, we kept asking for it to be cleared. We asked to order drink. We asked to order food. We asked for check. The timing between courses was long. Loud. Really loud. They opened the shade to see the vessel but windows not such you could take a picture. Never going back. Too many great sushi restaurants in Nyc.

So many delicious dishes at brunch it was hard to pick a fave! An early afternoon brunch with friends where we could actually carry on a conversation without raising our voices - it was like an oasis!

We had an amazing experience. It was 2 of our birthdays and it completely exceeded our expectations. Our server Jin was super nice and very accommodating to all of our needs. Not only that but the overall staff as well is super understanding and some of the nicest wait staff I’ve experienced. Definitely a place that must experience, Thank you to all BOND St.
