About this restaurant

A restaurant designed to casually spoil you with great locally sourced oysters and other fabled bounty from the region such as lamb, mushrooms, fresh produce, orchard fruits & berries, and the list goes on. We pair this with our favorite wines from near and far + fun cocktails - all alongside comforting favorites for everyone. ​(Our menu does include items for those whom might not love shellfish or seafood as much as we do.)
+Our view is of the ferry coming in and leaving right on the waterfront of Friday Harbor.
+ Our outside seating is first-come first serve and is communal-style seating.
+We are a tiny restaurant, so we are deeply impacted when you don't show up for your reservations or cancel last minute, please keep this in mind.
+No dogs inside or on the patio.
+While we take reservations for dinner service from 5pm to 8pm, walk-ins are always welcome.
+Now open for Lunch, Thursday through Saturday (no reservations needed)

    Staff was wonderful and great with recommendations. Food and drink menu were creative and everything I ordered was delicious. Cute little place. Love the emphasis on local vendors and farm to table.

    Extraordinary flavors and dining experience. Very attentive and friendly service. Highly recommend for adults desiring a sublime meal in an intimate setting. Not recommended for young children.

    Fantastic meal! One of the best pork chops I think I’ve ever had. Very fresh oysters, great cocktails, and the oystertale salad was delicious as well. All paired with a friendly service team. Would definitely come back again.

    Most amazing cocktails and food!! All the ladies working were so friendly. Loved our evening at Oystertale! I already rebooked with friends for later in the week!

    The food and the service were fabulous. We would definitely go back! The goat cheese waffle was AMAZING! We also really enjoyed the chowder, SJI salad, fried oysters (tiny) and the pork chop. Oh, we cannot forget the Rhubarb crumble with vanilla ice cream!!! Only downsides - it gets really warm and a bit loud inside. The bench seats are hard and hot and could use a cushion. Otherwise, great restaurant with creative menu, quality local ingredients and top notch staff.

    Our meal was outstanding. We loved sitting outside on the gorgeous evening at the picnic tables. The food was so fresh and so delicious. Beautifully presented. Our server was very attentive and lovely. Salad with fresh strawberries and goat cheese, fried oysters, lollipop lamb chops, mushrooms. Rhubarb cobbler. It was all amazing. Thank you!

    The food was grossly overpriced, the dinner salad very small, salmon overcooked, and my husband's pork chop was served by itself, with no salad or side dish
