Fantastic food and great service. Thank you Phil! Our first trip to VA and Middleberg … our nephew Bryan highly recommended this place…he was spot on…would return in a heartbeat…just know that conversation will be difficult because acoustics are suboptimal.

Steak salad, crab chowder, wedge salad, crab cake sand and calamari all excellent. Only issue was bread pudding for dessert was cold and my son didn't want to send back. Shortcake excellent as was service.

Bad: Server was non-existent. Expressed it was our anniversary in the reservation and they didn’t recognize it. My mussels in white wine were spoiled and I sent them back. They didn’t do anything to remedy the situation by adjusting the bill further, which is pretty standard. So much salt in crab cake sandwich, and not jumbo lump but instead shredded. Fries were also overly salted and soggy. Both desserts were good, but didn’t seem homemade. Good: Oysters and cocktail shrimp were great. So was the espresso martini.

Best crab cakes we ever had! We tried a few items on a Father's Day outing and everything was delicious. 2 dozen raw oysters, radish ahi tacos, crab cakes, bread pudding. Staff was very nice and manager was very helpful. Kept watching dishes come from kitchen and all looked amazing. Ambiance was nice as well. Will definitely be going back.

Great experience. Sat outside, enjoyed delicious meatball sliders, lobster roll, mussels, brussels, crabcake sliders, oysters and blue cheese chips- a favorite. Cocktails were fantastic as always- missing the purple haze though and John, our server, was awesome. Looking forward to our next visit.

Been here 4-5 times...4.5 stars. This is a very casual spot and the food is great. Very rustic and nothing fancy.
