Overall good experience for dinner last night. It was Happy Hour, so we had a cocktail and a dozen raw oysters at $1.50 a piece. They were very good, as were the drinks. We then had oyster po boys. Great sauce and plenty of oysters on the roll. We substituted hushpuppies on one order, there was a $1.00 upcharge, but well worth it. The fries were not crisp, but rather soggy. This is the only downside on the food ordered. Service was friendly and helpful with questions we had when ordering. Only thing I think the restaurant could improve on is to pay a bit more attention to sweeping up the floor. I noticed straw wrappers next to our table.

Upon arrival the hostess was not warm and at one point could not confirm my reservation. It was unsettling but the waitress made up for it all with her kindness.

I was really looking forward to this place. I saw all the great reviews and the menu looked fantastic and so I was very excited to try it out. Sadly it did not live up to my expectations at all. Let me be clear, the service was great, the manager, the hostess, the waitress were all very courteous and hospitable. Unfortunately, the food and drinks were just mediocre at best. The cocktails were flat and either overly sweet, overly strong, or overly watery. The only food items that were just ok were the oysters. But the oysters did not seem like good quality, very rubbery, did not slide off the shell, and had no distinct flavor. The rest of the food was not at all tasty and I felt like whoever made it either was inexperienced or didn't care. I would have loved to make this a monthly visit but I don't think I will be returning here.

Lunch was great. My husband loved the crab cake sandwich and my chopped salad and gumbo were delicious.
