   We had a lovely meal here. We weren’t rushed and the food was excellent, although the pizza oven was broken so a couple of disappointed children, however lots of other options for them. It was also Friday so we benefited from fizz Friday and had some good prosecco and a good price. This pub is by the river and a great place ya stop whilst on their er or a meal whilst on a family break nearby. We have been since our meal for a few drinks and weren’t disappointed. Will happily visit again

   The waiter who served us was very friendly and enthusiastic to serve us. Food was great and nice ambiance I can understand it's a bit noisy as people are having drinks which is fair.

   We had warned the kitchen beforehand that my husband was allergic to eggs. The dessert they bought out was not the same as on the menu so the allergy food folder wasn’t any use as it didn’t have the dessert in. So it came out and my husband started to eat it and realised that the dessert had eggs in. He suffered badly all day and we had to go to the pharmacy. They did not seem very bothered. If my son had been with us and had the dessert too we would of been calling 911. The food was worse than our previous visits. The sprouts had been sitting in water and not edible. Very disappointing! We shall not go again.

   Booked a table for the return from a river boat cruise at 5pm. Beer garden was busy and queue for drinks quite long. No obvious way to check in for our table so we joined the queue. After 10 mins, seeing loads of free tables indoors, managed to get the attention of one of the waitresses to say we had a table booked. She said she was too busy to help but would be back in a minute. She managed to avoid coming near us for a further 10 minutes by which point it was clear that our custom was not important so we left. Food? Who knows, but no point in booking a table as they clearly make enough money selling drinks alone.

   2 steaks ordered. 1 rump-medium, so chewy, my husband couldn’t eat it all. 1 fillet medium rare, came out almost raw, inside still cold. Called the waitress who took it back, came back with a different one, and ‘apparently’ I’d been given the wrong one. However, the triple cooked chips & onion rings were cold. The half tomato was cold anyway. I managed to eat about a third of the steak-which was medium, not as I asked for. It was full of gristle & fat. No way was this a fillet steak. We did speak to the waitress, who got the manager, and we were not billed for the meal. However, we left still hungry.

   We have visited The Swan on many occasions for different reasons and have never been disappointed .The staff are always welcoming in a very relaxed atmosphere. The quality of the food is very good and reasonably priced. Overall very good.

   Great food, served piping hot, although it took a little longer than we hoped to reach our table and two meals were missing items that should have been included. When asked, our water told us they had run out but we weren't told this when we ordered. Overall it was a very pleasant meal in an excellent location, right on the waterfront.

    The service was reasonable for a party of 8, on a Thursday night. We were sat on a table basically in a side area, which felt like we were the only ones there, but that added to the atmosphere. Everyone thought the food was great, especially the dough sticks which we shared as a starter. The setting by the river is very picturesque. The only drawback we had was that 3 of our group wanted the same vegetarian meal but they only had enough ingredients for 1.
