Chef Douglass Williams and the team behind MIDA is proud to launch its newest concept: DW French. Located just a few block from Fenway park, this modern French Bistro draws inspiration from the streets of Paris as well as famous cuisine from all regions of France. The menu revolves around presenting the classics of French cuisine with approachability and the absolute best quality of ingredients. Think warming and savory French onion soup, perfectly seasoned steak with crispy fries, juicy roasted chicken, a crisp and delicious glass of Sauvignon Blanc. The goal is to celebrate the rich history of French cuisine - showcasing the food along with an upbeat and fun-loving attitude.

DW French’s atmosphere marries contemporary aesthetics with design elements reminiscent of a classic French brasserie. The restaurant features a 16-seat bar with an extensive list of cognac, classic cocktails, and French wines. A 30-seat covered patio extends is perfect to take in the energy of Boylston St.

I was expecting good things from DW French as Chef Douglass Williams and his MIDA is highly rated. Ambience & decor is spot on as a French bistro. The service was attentive and quick. Our table of 3 chose 2 al a carte and 1 Dine Out menu. All the dishes were tasty. But I just couldn't get over the fact that my Dine Out menu dishes were all way to salty. The other a la carte dishes were moderately salty but mine was overboard. I usually do not send back the dish but I was very close in doing so. It left a mark on an otherwise great dining experience as they comped us 3 profiteroles in celebration of my belated birthday.

The food was good to excellent but somewhat too salty. The fries were served on top of the mussels, which made the fries soggy. They really should be served in a separate dish. The sommelier did not seem very knowledgeable.

Excellent. Upon arrival they greeted us with complimentary champagne because it was our anniversary. The meal was nicely spaced out. We didn’t feel rushed. It was fantastic. Can’t wait to go again.

Possibly the best restaurant in the Fenway area- tried the restaurant week menu. Great deal for $42. The steak tartare is another absolute highlight.

Amazing dinner at DW French. French-ish martinis - yum. Moules Frites were delicious, fresh oysters…. No disappointments with this menu!! Sirloin steak was perfect and clam chowder was amazing !
