   My wife and I love the food , service @ Smellys. The service is first class and we feel like we are taken care of by the waiter assinged to us. The location is what it is. The Soul Food menu is perfect . I never order greens anywhere but decided to try theirs and feel in love with the taste. I’ll order them again. I’m a big fan of the Garlic Noodles. My 4th time there and I keep talking about Smellys to my friends. The Oxtails and the Seafood are my favorites.

   Overall the food was excellent; however, I noticed that there were some people who came after me and my party that were greeted first. No one came to talk to us for about 5-7 minutes, which was really discouraging since this was our first time visiting the establishment. We also had a reservation for this place. Another thing that I found unusual was the fact that we had to order drinks from the bartender, but food from a different server. I didn’t enjoy having two different charges where I could have just ordered from one person. I would say that the food literally saved the experience I had with the service. I would simply come back because all the food was excellent.

   If I could give it 0 stars I would. Only thing that was good was the loaded seafood fries and the lemon drops. Oxtails had no flavor. Mac and cheese was dry. Yams tasted like they threw lemon juice in there. Catfish was good for a second but it could’ve used more seasoning. Came here 2 years ago and food was immaculate , definitely don’t recommend this restaurant was highly disappointed and it was my birthday

   As always the food was great, and the service was top tier also. The staff is always so knowledgeable and helpful.

   waited an hour for our food, when the food finally got to the table our mac and cheese was disrespectfully cold and after an hour of waiting i’d expect my food to be hot. the yams were hard and burnt we ordered an appetizer that didn’t come out until we got the bill. the server rarely checked on us

   Food had deep flavors of creole seasoning. We enjoyed the crab especially and the fried oysters that I tried for the first time. They did not disappoint Service was great. Ambiance fits the food. Yes, we will return.

    I am never disappointed when coming to Chef Smelly's. I love love love the food. Only thing it is don't come here really really hungry because the wait is long but I feel like it's worth the wait.
