I absolutely love Northern Italian food and a rarity to have greatly curated and executed variety of meat, fish and risotto dishes in the menu after all, there is so much pasta anyone can eat. The wine selection is great and on point, desserts also great. Severio and Carolina (the owners) are there to meet and greet you. Refined, elegant and intimate decor. Traditional music with Umberto Tozzi's music in the background, noise levels balanced so you can have a conversation with your party without yelling across the table. My husband and I were excited to try this Los Feliz outpost of the famed Milan eatery. Nika is a friendly, excellent server. The ambiance is cozy and the music selections on point and not too loud. The Barolo was delicious. We started out strong with a lovely, generously portioned Dal Milanese salad and pate. When the secondis were presented, my husband and I were taken a back. My branzino was presented double plated and the expediter cautioned me that the plate was ‘extremely hot’. The fish had actually been fused with the top plate - under the salamander for too long, I imagine. My husband’s filet mignon was completely blanketed in a heavy cream sauce. To cover what should be a delicate cut of meat like that makes me wonder about the meat quality. Sad to say, we will not be returning

Hi Aileen first of all thank you for coming to our restaurant. I am truly sorry you didn't like our main courses. Of course it is totally understandable that one may not like a dish or its preparation but I do want to assure you that the quality of our meat is top notch. We only buy from the most sought after meat distributor and if you are familiar with butcher shops like McCalls you will find that it is exactly the same naturally grown free range cows of the highest quality. The green peppercorn sauce ( that is the name of the dish) is a cream based sauce and we offer it on request on the side. As far as the Branzino the preparation is our unique boneless and skinless carpaccio style and it gets cooked on the plate itself. Anyhow thank you for trying us and for the feedback

This was my 5th and last visit. They are nice as can be - but they can’t get their act together. Entree timing is always off. Over salted food. And we had to ask repeatedly to have our water refilled (desperately needed because of the excessive salt). I want this place to get better but it never does.

Conoscevamo già il ristorante di Milano, per questo abbiamo deciso di provarlo anche a Los Angeles.e abbiamo fatto bene. Saverio ed Emanuele, il cuoco, perfetti padroni di casa: gentili, attenti e con il piacere di chiacchierare!! Ci hanno fatto sentire in Italia. Il cibo è ottimo e la materia prima di grande qualità italiana. Uno dei pochi posti a LA dove mangiare cibo italiano.

We enjoyed everything about this restaurant. We ate there during the last night of Dine LA Restaurant Week, and enjoyed the options from their select menu. The ambiance is great - love the interior design and the overall vibe. The service was also great, every server was attentive, although we went early in order to confirm an available table. I ordered the Bronzino, which was delicious. The only issue was that the dishes were a bit salty. I personally liked the flavor, but my husband has a heart condition, and he was concerned about how much salt was used in the dishes. That being said, we still will absolutely return to this restaurant again, and look forward to trying the regular menu selections while enjoying the overall experience.

Delicious Branzino Wow! Served in an innovative carpaccio style with asparagus and cherry tomatoes. Exquisite ! And the Barbera I had was also great. Another in our group had the saffron rizotto that was a bit soupy but very tasty. The ambience was charming. The only complaint is that the noise level impeded good conversation. Will return. Lovely. Better even if noise level could be mitigated.

Ambiance and service are outstanding. Food is sub-paar, I rarely send back food, the risotto was the worst I have ever eaten, tasted metallic. Ordered a pasta and was very ordinary for the price. The front line servers were great, the manager was walking around and went to every table but ours even after we sent back some food. If he wants to stay in business, he needs to address his chefs and take a more assertive role with his customers.

I will mention that I actually tried this restaurant on a Tuesday night when they have a live Jazz trio so the noise level after 9 pm got considerably louder. The music was really good though! Good food, great service, a very ice menu with some typical Milanese staples. I am just wondering since almost everyone has the tendency to order an appetizer and a main course if it wouldn't be better to keep the price of the entrees a little lower and the portions smaller since they are humongous!

The veal Milanese and the saltimbocca were divine—and wine is reasonable-ish compared to Little Dom’s and other Los Feliz Italian places. Don’t be put off by the slightly more formal feel of the restaurant—it’s authentic, delicious food with an attentive, friendly, knowledgeable staff. A treat.

For those of you familiar with the Los Feliz area, you know that there are plenty of places to drop a pretty penny on good food. However, when the occasion is special, the friendship is meaningful, and opportunities to spend time together are limited, you've gotta pick the perfect place. Which lands us here at Dal Milanese! We started off with 2 Aperol Spritzers (traditional Italian cocktail or refresher comprised of Prosecco, Aperol, club soda, and a twist of orange, served in a long stem glass). At Dal Milanese, these are coined Milano Spritz and are 14.00 each. For an appetizer, we started with the Salmon Tartare. Excellent! This was followed by the special of the day, Lobster Linguine! The presentation and flavors were incredible. A must if it is an offering. Chocolate Lava cake to seal the deal, with a nice espresso. Service ***** Parking free and adjacent on south side.

We all enjoyed our meals… delicious food, very good service and owners who really care about your experience. Two in our party, while they enjoyed their pumpkin pasta, would not order it again as a full entree because it was so rich. I suggested we share it! We feel fortunate that this gem is in our neighborhood. I’m almost afraid to get the word out! A side note: we could actually carry on a conversation with our friends. It’s s rare occurrence in restaurants now to have it feel lively but not overwhelming noise.
