   Everything about our dinner was perfect. Our waiter was friendly, knowledgeable and charming. His recommendations were spot on. The pace of dinner made the experience just right. We will all return soon.

   Always a wonderful restaurant to go to. Francisco was amazing. He was so kind and attentive. The food is excellent. I would highly recommend going here

   One of the best restaurants in Long Beach. Great atmosphere! The food was amazing and the staff were so nice! Love this place! Highly recommend!

   Delightful atmosphere. Quaint and quiet but as people arrived it got louder but not too loud. Food was tasty and a good proportion. Great sharing place. Service was great. Very much enjoyed the experience

   We love Marlena. My only complaint is that they use canola oil to fry with instead of using a healthier alternative such as beef tallow. Why are we compromising people‘s health for money? Canola is cheap and I think it’s reasonable to assume that a restaurant of this caliber that serves really nice quality food should be using a better product to fry than canola. Come on, let’s make better choices and care about people‘s health more than your bottom line.

   Love the design and ambience at Marlena! Parking was ample as they just opened. My friend and I were seated right away, had the perfect corner table outside in the covered patio with the most powerful, yet comfortable, heater! The brunch menu was appealing and our waitress gave us some great recommendations. Our waters were constantly being filled and I felt the service was a perfect balance of being checked on while offering us some space to relax. I tried the rosti with smoked salmon... it was good, although the sauce started to make the rosti a bit squishy...maybe I'm just particular with how I like my crispy entrees...? Overall, enjoyed brunch and would recommend and come back in the future!

   Amazing service! Amazing food! We shared the Crudo, cauliflower, a couple salads, and one of their pizzas. I wish I would have taken photos, but everything was so good! Great environment. Highly suggest!

   Food:1st time eating there. Husband had Lamp chops. I don’t even like lamb but I tried it and it’s was Amazing!!! Wed had Little Gems salad and pizza. Beer and 2 martinis. Service top notch! Every part of team was kind and on top of it! Even The owner makes rounds to tables. Opens wine. Helps servers. I recommend Marlena 1000%

   Our evening at Marlena was spectacular! First visit and won’t be last. All five of us agree food was exceptional. Service outstanding. Ambiance awesome. Already planning our next visit!!!

    What a fun spot! It just had this great vibe right when we walked in. Having the owner stand there greeting us definitely added to it. The decor and general feeling of the restaurant is thoughtful and loved. Okay, now the food! Loved it. We shared a few starters: octopus in a great red sauce, hamachi crudo. The Gem Salad was a gem! We then shared a pizza. It was a bit on the salty side but the crust and savory/sweet combo was nice. We ended the dinner with a Basque Cheesecake. Just the PERFECT sweetness (not too much, but enough). YUMMM. Can't wait to go back and try everything else on the menu. Such a special place.
