Our Doylestown cafe is our most recent addition, situated on the campus of Delaware Valley University. Terrain's culinary team works directly with the farmers, agricultural teams, and students of DelVal to deliver their produce straight to cafe tables. This location includes a private dining room and a centrally-located bar area featuring small bites, seasonal cocktails, and a robust yet approachable wine list.

    The manager Drew was excellent and our server Kennedy was so kind. We enjoyed the Garden Happy Hour and dinner!

    The food and ambiance is excellent. It was very busy so the bar was backed up and the kitchen with bread making. Other than delays in drinks arriving and bread, very, very good.

    The ambiance was delightful. Very pretty. Well lit. VERY high noise level. IF we go again will definitely choose seating outside. The food was good although I was looking forward to nasturtium flowers in my Caesar salad as depicted in the menu. There were none . Some of the croutons were way to big to eat. Our waitress , was very nice.....when we saw her.. at one point we sat for 15 mins without being checked in on, which we were not happy about. I wish french onion soup was still on the menu. I would have loved to have tried that.

    We went for fathers day with my daughter, they were able to find a table for us, even though it was a last minute reservation. Very appreciated! However, service wasn’t great. (The waitress was very friendly) but my husband ate 15 mins after our meal arrived.

    This was our first visit to Terrain for our anniversary. The restaurant is beautiful, very busy and quite noisy, if you are going with a large group it will probably be difficult to hear everyone. Very interesting menu selections and the food was outstanding. The arugula salad was lovely with a very light, flavorable dressing. Both the halibut and beef ribs were delicious. Our server left in-between shifts and the replacement server was busy with tables and the bar service. We asked for dessert menu and I was looking forward to the custard with sea salt carmel, but after 30 minutes when he didn't come back for our order we decided to pass - perhaps, next time? Overall, it is a very nice place for a special occasion, birthday, anniversary, but a little pricey for a "let's go out and grab some dinner", however, we will be back!

    I have been to Terrain Café several times and the food is always outstanding as are the drinks. However, this time the filet mignon was served with ice cold butter on top, which would not melt because the food was cold. manager stop by, but did nothing to compensate for the lack of quality food very disappointing.  Server took the meat back to heat it up so she did everything she could, but the management was absolutely lacking.

    This was our first time and it was a delight. The service was amazing. Our server was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. The menu is eclectic. I appreciated that items were clearly marked gf, vegan, and vegetarian. As a gf pescatarian, I found many items that I could eat without any adjustments. I ended up with the harvest bowl, which contained perfectly cooked quinoa, cauliflower and zucchini, fresh arugula, and warm felafel. I added sliced avocado. It was delicious. We started with the vegetarian mushroom soup. It was thick, creamy, delicious. The portion was quite generous. I would have preferred a smaller portion. To finish this delightful meal, we shared a creme brulee, topped with berries. Dessert choices for gluten-free diners are just the creme brulee or three scoops of ice cream. The prices are on the high side, but the portions are quite generous and the ambiance is wonderful. My only complaint is the acoustics. There was a lot of background noise. Next time we will try a mid-week dinner when it won't be so crowded. Definitely returning! My unadventurous partner was happy to find a beef burger with was grilled perfectly to his preferred medium rare.
