    The restaurant is very pretty and the staff is attentive. Unfortunately, the food does not live up to expectations . One person got salmon and it was an end cut and not high quality. One dinner received a cold meal that had been sitting for too long. The person eating crab claws and crab legs did enjoy his meal.

    This is for a return visit to Truluck's in Plano. I have a previous review from May 11 that I would update if I could, but I can't so please consider this an update. I visited on Tuesday night with my son to give the restaurant another try. We changed a lot of choices to look at more of the seafood offerings. We started with the crab cake appetizer which was very good. Normally I prefer a remoulade, but the tartar sauce was very tasty. We had the Ceasar and Wedge Salads which were solid choices. I see some people have commented about the Ceasar being anchovy heavy, but I feel the balance was good. Too many dressings are too light on the anchovy to be authentic Entrees were the Filet Flight which my son thought was great with the three different toppings. I tasted the one with mushrooms and some reduction (can't remember what was used) which was a unique and tasty option. The steaks were prepared to the expected doneness. I had the Seabass in a Miso glaze. I think the fish was a tad overdone but only obvious on the edges and the seasoned rice and glaze were absolutely delicious. We shared the Potatoes au Gratin which was especially good if you like a lot of cheesy goodness and a good amount of bacon. My first bite seemed a bit salty, but the dish is served with a sour cream topping and when mixed the flavor is great and cuts the salt. I would now recommend going to the restaurant, changing my previous opinion. Thank you Truluck's.

    Had not been to this location. The food was very good. We loved the yeast roll! Baked Alaska was very good. The service was not great.
