all food items were exceptional. they captured the flavors of kerala and coorg, with an artistic flair. my south-indian-native fiancé claimed the chettinad wasn’t spicy enough, but that’s to be expected given we’re in the wrong country. also the servers were extremely busy so we didn’t get frequent attention. but the overall experience was 5 star.

Had a wonderful experience at Copra last night. We sat in the main part of the dining room which is quite open. The waiter was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in helping us understand the menu and create a nice meal. The food was interesting and very flavorful. Very creative menu that had us all feeling we were on a bit of a culinary journey. We loved everything but the black cod was by far the best entree. We went with what the waiter and chef recommended and we were so happy we did. Can't wait to go back soon.

Paid roughly $400 for 2 for an experience at COPRA. Cricketer, Aanju Samson was supposed to be there for 7-9 pm but instead had him for 7:15 - 8:30 pm. Thought they would be lots of food options from the menu but, veg options were limited in the fixed menu. Overall, happy to interact with a famous personality and meet Michelin Chef, Srijith Gopinathan, but otherwise did not feel the value of $$$

Copra was beyond amazing … it’s South Indian done to perfection, dare I say this is the Semma of SFO .. loved and the service especially at the bar was brilliant . I diddn’t get to satisfy my Mango craving was sold out but Coconut desert was great .. there’s always a next time !

I've been eating Indian food all my life including dozens of restaurants in the country of India. This is hands down the best, most inventive and unique Indian restaurant I've ever been in. Sitting at the bar is the go if you happen to be two people as it is less noisy there and the bartenders are intriguing to watch. They're all female and they're all extremely talented, friendly and attentive. We'll be back!

The worst service we have received in a restaurant in SF. The server blatantly refused to take our order for apps until we also ordered the mains. When we said we need more time, he said it’s a Friday and we need to hurry up. There were 4 of us and no one has individually or collectively encountered a restaurant where the servers are downright rude and arrogant.

the shrimp dish was over cooked tough and too hot my companions food was indiferant something has changed we won't be going back

Was our first time and there were four of us. The wait person recommended a number of Kada, Little, and Large plates. Fortunately we understand our food limits and tastes and ordered accordingly. One diner was allergic to shrimp and scallops, another to tree nuts, and a third doesn’t eat anything from the water. We ordered seven little plates (Spring Salad, Wrap, Rasam Poori, Chaat, Mulligatawny,Scallop and Rhubarb, and Fried Chicken) and one large plate (Vegetable of the Day). That combined with two desserts (“God’s Own” Coconut Variation and Watalappan) was more than enough. The least successful seemed to be a tie between the scallops and the VOD with the Rasam Poori, Mulligatawny, and “God’s Own “ as the best. The ingredients and melding of flavors was exceptional. Menu lists ingredient types so that people with preferences and allergies know upfront what to expect. Staff was attentive and noise levels were active (restaurant was full on a Wednesday evening).
