Ja'Marion was a very friendly and attentive server. We had a business meeting with cocktails, apps and entrees. The potato chip nachos with steak were a great starter. Our cocktails were all drinks that were not shown on the menu but the bartender nailed them perfectly. For entrees we had the Pan Fried Chicken, Gatorade Po Boy, and my personal favorite, the Bologna Sandwich. I cannot recommend that sandwich enough. Great job State of Confusion team!

I had the alligator bites and a side salad. The bites were tasty with the remoulade sauce that was served. The salad was crisp and fresh. The service was wonderful and the entire staff was courteous.

Beignets were awesome. Brunch items were just ok. $18.50 for a breakfast burrito seemed a bit steep. It was a 90+ degree day outside and the temperature inside the restaurant wasn’t much cooler. Was actually sweating. Had to shoo flies from our table. Not appetizing. Restaurant staff was unenthusiastic at best. There are much better choices in the area.

My husband and I went for ceviche as this was an extensive part of the menu. When we arrived, we were told they were out of all ceviche due to Father's Day brunch earlier in the day. Since we were unable to try this, I can't say how it was but the other food we received was overpriced for what we received and very greasy. The bison sliders were very good, however. The fried beef tacos were dripping in grease and had too much cheese and sour cream without anything to cut the heaviness. The skirt steak with fire roasted potatoes and fries with chimichuri sauce was half a skillet of fries with only 3 pieces of zucchini and a few pieces of onion. The meat was tender but was not a sufficient amount for $28. The server was very nice. The drinks were terrible and I do not recommend anything from the "draft". I ordered a basic mojito and it was not made correctly and lacked all sweetness. Overall, overpriced and greasy. Would return ONLY to try ceviche.

Great place for brunch. Menu has lots of fun dishes, and the carafe of pineapple/orange mimosa was excellent. Really enjoyed my chicken fried chicken, but “over easy” eggs were hammered. Ribeye eggs Benedict was very good.

I decided to book a reservation for my wife’s birthday because the menu looked awesome. I reserved a time and indicated that there was a special occasion when I placed the reservation; b-day. I got several reminders and confirmations, so I’m thinking this place will be great. I get to the restaurant and it’s an enormous, cool looking place. When we check in, no happy birthday to my wife from the hostess, but I see the restaurant score of 94 and that made me nervous. Any score below 96 is cause for concern. We ordered the chicken egg rolls. No veggies, no fillings other than the chicken. Multiple egg roll wrappers so they weren’t crunchy. Score: 5 out of 10. My wife ordered the strip steak chimichura and I had the redfish with sherry cream sauce. My wife’s tastes good but the steak was cut up into scrappy little pieces and the plate presentation looked sloppy. The fries were not hot and not seasoned. Score: 6 out of 10. My wife’s score. The blackened redfish with sherry cream sauce arrived and I was expecting a cream sauce, but instead it looked like a spread. In fact I had to spread it with a knife. The fish was cooked good, but the seasonings were inconsistent; some parts were good, some very salty, and other areas were not seasoned at all. The veggies were over and undercooked with seeds still left in the grilled green peppers. The carrots were raw. It came with red beans and rice, and the beans tasted good but were dry from repeated reheating without adding liquid. I regretted not sending the dish back, but I have had too many bad experiences doing that and I don’t like wasting food. Dinner was at 7:15 so I was perplexed why the food wasn’t better prepared but the sauce, the red beans and rice, and veggies had been sitting—that is obvious. Score: 3 out of 10. Our waiter was a nice guy but didn’t provide good info about the menu and was absent most of the time. We were ready to checkout and we waited a good 10 minutes for him to check us out. One and done!
