"I am proud to present our rendition of authentic dishes from India to the National Harbor. Here you will find many classics and fusions all presented in a modern fashion. My goal is to bring traditional Indian meals that were a large part of my childhood and share them with the world.

I spent my life perfecting my technique at the Taj Coromandel in Chennai where I served countless guests day in and day out. The dishes I present to you today are my proudest creations, in which I hope you will enjoy every bite.

From street food to delicacies reserved only for royals, I am overjoyed to present my recipes to you at this humble restaurant. I strive to offer only the finest presentation with the finest ingredients."

The decor was beautiful. The food was good. The service was OK. When we order the food. We weren’t given any options to make the spice level spicier or not spicy, which is fine but a little bit more flavor could’ve helped and when we were served the food there were no utensils like I get. It’s Indian food. You have to use your hands, but if you’re sharing a butter chicken dish, you don’t want it put your fingers up in there with the nun and scoop out the food kinda want some silverware to help out we had to ask twice for silverware Just to be acknowledged to get any same with water or water wasn’t filled only once. We’ll go back again, but definitely won’t make a special trip out for it if we’re in the area and we’re feeling like Indian food will stop by, but I’m not gonna make a big trip out there just to eat the food.

Cannot (and won't) return to this place. And will steer others away. My 'to go" packing was not done with any care. Everything in one container although I had the sampler platter and should have had at least 3 separate containers. I did eat some at the restaurant but had plenty to take home. The waiter offered to take my leftovers to prepare, I generally don't let them take it back, but I did this time, and it was a mistake. Wasted food and money. By the time I looked, it was a mixed mess. Couldn't eat. And they charge 18% tip charge.

The restaurant was not at capacity but service was very slow. It took 45 mins for food to arrive, after multiple reminders. They also didn’t have large dinner plates, so we had to manage with quarter plates. I was hosting visitors to DC, so was embarrassed to have chosen a restaurant where they were disappointed.

We were moved from our table half way through. We weren't given new plates etc. service was rushed and food wasn't good.

We went for lunch. Staff were friendly but we felt that the service was slow. Food took quite a while to appear but was extremely tasty. The music was really loud.
