Park 54 Restaurant and Lounge is a small black-owned business in Hyde Park, MA. "Park 54" is inspired by the life and service of the men who served in the 54th Regiment - a volunteer infantry comprised of free Black American male soldiers. The regiment was established in Readville, MA, now known as "Hyde Park." Despite the backlash the men received for fighting in a "white man's war" each bravely risked their lives for the freedom and betterment of their families, community, and country.

Our mission is to continue the legacy of the historical 54th Regiment. We have created a safe haven where our beloved community of Hyde Park and the neighboring towns, can experience the freedom, happiness, and fullness of self-expression the 54th Regiment fought for. Having only been open for less than a year, we have already accomplished this by offering great food, innovative libations, incredible music, compelling historical artifacts, and an inviting ambiance!

-host looked very unhappy, unwelcoming and moved slow to moderate pace when it came to setting up our table - no one came to the table to check on us or let us know about the menu or the buffet, we just got up and ate at the buffet. We really had no choice, we was hungry -after about 45mins I went to the bar and asked if I can order a drink, the bartender said our waitress or waiter would take our order. I said no one has been to our table, except the man with water. Come to find out, the host never checked us in so the waitress was never notified that we were here. -once the waitress knew we were here the service was a lot better. They comped our drinks and apologized for the inconvenience. The drinks were pretty good, buffet food was good. The waitress was cool after she was informed we were there

We arrived earlier than reservations time,,was seated table was clean,,took our orders quickly but to receive meals was very poor 2ppl got theirs rght away the other 4 ppl had to wait extra 20mins for theirs which meant we didn't eat all together

My husband and I went during Dine Out Boston based on the menu posted on the Dine Out Boston menu on their website. However, when I got there, they had a different menu on the table which did not include Oxtails. I pulled up the menu posted on their website. However, they wouldn't honor that menu. Then they ran out of the Delmonico Steak. That left only Shrimp, Lobster, Crib & Grits, and A Red Snapper. They didn't offer a substitution for Steak until I asked what they would do for someone who doesn't eat seafood. The server finally went to ask someone if they could substitute the Delmonico. They agreed to substitute it with a Rib Eye, although it was not bone-in like the Delmonico. I ordered it Medium. It came back Well-Done. They dropped another one. That one came back Medium-Well. So I gave up and just had them box it up. The collard greens and mac & cheese were good. My husband enjoyed his Red Snapper. He also enjoyed his banana pudding. I got the peach cobbler. I didn't like it at all. It was too sweet with no crunchy crust. So needless to say, I wasn't happy with my meal.

Meals were very good. Had Delmonico steak and snapper. Sides were tasty but luke warm. My guest and I were so hungry we didn’t want to wait for sides to be reheated. Waiter was most attentive.

We dined there last night for the first time. The restaurant was easy to find. We had a reservationa and were seated immediately. The food presentation was perfect. Everything was very tasty. The waitstaff was friendly and helpful. Portions were on the solid to generous side. The side dishes were interesting and great. We would go again and try some other dishes. We think they did a very good job.

It’s a party every time I come here whether it be for an actual birthday gathering or Sunday brunch. The brunch buffet has me coming back everytime and the lighting is perfect for pictures. Slightly pricey but you get what you pay for here.

Had a blast with friends from 40 years ago Food was delicious and plentiful. Drinks were a little over priced for the area but they were good. The waitress was very attentive it was not that crowded on a Saturday late afternoon

Outstanding service from all. Great food. Nice and hot and seasoned. I mentioned to staff, it has appreciable gotten better since the opening. A must try for soul food and true flava (ambience) in Boston.
