   Our waiter was great. The restaurant is new and still working out their kinks. My husband simply wished they had more options. The octopus was tasty and the bread service was great. My dirty martini was more olive juice than anything else.

   We went there a Tuesday night. The place was 40% full and instead of sitting us in a way that everyone got more privacy and in a bigger table, we were taking to the last table for two next to a wall and unmediated next to a table of four, who were sited next to another table of two. The place was half empty! We were able to listen to the other table’s conversation. The ceviche was tasteless and the shrimp over cooked. The oysters were the smallest I have seen and no flavor. But maybe I missed reading in the menu the kind of oysters they were. The manager however hearing about the ceviche brought me the most delicious fish ceviche tiradito? It was amazing! Unfortunately it’s not in the menu. But he made our night with such a delicate dish.

   iT WAS OUR ANNIVERSARY DINNER AND OUR FIRST TIME AT NORMANS. We could not have asked for a better experience from the valet, to the greeter at the door ,from the person who sat us to the waiter everyone was friendly fun and happy to serve. I highly recommend trying Normans, it is truly an experience you wont forget or regret. Well done.

    Appetizers, dessert and the wine/cocktail offerings were fantastic and delish. Our sofrito filet and yellowtail snapper were just ok. I would recommend the crab beignets, tuna tostado, vanilla & berrie cake.

    I went to Normans previously, and it was my favorite restaurant /experience in Orlando.  I couldn’t wait to bring my mom there for Mother’s Day.  I love the amuse Bouche they bring. Then we ordered the blue crab beignets which is supposedly a signature dish. They were cooked delicately, but lacked in flavor. I had to salt mine, and they were very skimpy on the sauce…. My mom didn’t even want the second one  I ordered the scallops for dinner, and it was the complete opposite, in that it was overwhelmed with salt, and the flavor was so intense that it was not enjoyable.  We ordered our drinks as soon as we sat down and never got to enjoy them until after the appetizer. We ordered dessert, which was average  and again we wanted to wait for a coffee and champagne, but it took so long that all the ice cream melted ( despite ordering our drinks and dessert at the same time). Their bar did not seem to be able to keep up with the food, despite it not even being packed.  I didn’t really enjoy our server either. A little disappointed after having such rave reviews prior from me.  Also, my mom got the snapper which was my favorite dish last time and it looked like a completely different meal. It was plated, completely different and looked gray and lacked in presentation (and there was noticeably less). The flavor was good, but still not as great as the first time I had it and again the sauce was very light handed. To me the hallmark of a great restaurant is consistency… I want to get my favorite dish and have it be the same each time  It is a pricey place, but I was happy to pay for it after my first experience, but not after my experience last night.  Also, not sure why they would’ve closed down the patio for Mother’s Day, as we were looking forward to that part.

    Hands down the best meal I have had in a very long time. Everything we had was absolutely delicious. The fermented black bean sauce was unbelievable I could eat it with everything. We are so excited to come back. Haley was amazing and extremely knowledgeable. She really added to the experience. This is our new favorite restaurant in Orlando!     Normans is a great restaurant. I went the 1st time a few weeks ago for a business dinner. Excellent all the way around. This time was for an early Mothers Day dinner. I wanted my wife to enjoy and try a spot she has need been. Reception was spot on. Even some champagne while we waited (we arrived early, was seated on time). The food options are a wide variety and all great. We did Blue Crab Beignets, Oysters and the Brazilian Shrimp and Mussel Chowder. We had a friend join us, so the Entrees were the Scallops, Yellow Snapper and Lamb. Again all excellent. My only issue this visit was delays in getting my cocktail after ordering, and same delay in getting a hot water refill for my wife. I think it was just a bit busy and missed our requests. They do not rush you here. You can enjoy your time and relax. Our friend commented on the delay between finishing appetizers and main course. Probably 20 minutes. Overall from seating to departure was 2hrs.

    We brought friends to the Norman’s dining experience. The service was outstanding. Wagyu NY Strip, Adobo Lamb & Norman’s interpretation of Zuppe di Pesce were delicious. The Artisan Cheese plate was the only disappointment. Very small portions placed on a small, ordinary plate. Nothing special as I would expect from Norman’s. The outdoor terrace is inviting for both Happy Hour & casual dining. Nice ambience with music. Overall an enjoyable evening. We are locals & will return often.

    Our waiter, Tommy, was great! From the moment we were sat at our table, his service was top tier. Courteous & attentive is an understatement. Norman’s as a whole is definitely a must if you live in Greater Orlando or plan to visit. Highly recommend their Adobo Lamb as well as their Key West Yellowtail. The wine selection was extensive with options for all to choose from. Lastly, we can’t leave out their Chocolate Trio dessert which featured peanut brittle, chocolate ganache, and a crème brûlée.     It was pretty much perfect for what I had planned for the night except that non of the deserts were available that we originally booked the reservation to enjoy. But what we did have for dessert was fine. My wife knew the waiter from a previous dining experience at a different location…that was a special bonus.

    Extremly pricey. My problem begun at the bar while I waited for a table. I ordered a wine (75) but because I had no glasses with me the bartender came and pointed to the nearest one, not the one I chose, by same brand and name, however, 165USD!!!! When I went o pay I complained about it and she said she showed that wine. Well, partially true, showed for 1 or 2 seconds, not enough to read all information at the page but only the very big name at the bottle. Few options to eat, not friendly hostess, and people a lot snob. It targets maybe The H or Eddie V's clientele but I would not switch.

    Another wonderful experience at Normans. From being greeted by the valet, to the reception desk, to our service team, to the food and the goodbyes, Normans does it right. We requested Haley and Niall, the same team who took care of us last time, and they were just as personable, helpful and fun as last time. Our food was outstanding…mushroom risotto, salmon, scallops. Haley has the skill to suggest interesting wine parings. This is dining at its best!

    When we arrived we were not even given the option of seating inside. We were seated on the patio at a lounge area. We wanted a table since we were there for dinner and made to feel like it was a problem even though there were empty tables available. I ordered oysters and the ones they brought were served on the top shell not the bottom. One shell didn't even have an oyster and the rest were not separated from the shell. We ordered 2 steaks and they were both over cooked. Non of the food was nearly what you would expect from Norman's and the service was very sub par. Super disappointing after telling our friends how great the place is.

    While it may have a great name (I remember Norman’s in Miami back in the day), the food was okay and the service, while very professional, slow. This may all be due to growing pains because I heard the restaurant is new. I hope it improves both in quality and speed of service. It’s a fine place, but it won’t be my regular go-to fancy restaurant.

    What an amazing twist on New World Cuisine. Food absolutely 10/10 , but the lack of music and noticeable lights out/not on made it hard to keep energy up. The patio is absolutely beautiful. I'll definitely be back and hope it keeps evolving into something great!

    Jonathan was fantastic! Menu knowledge concerning GF options and communication with the chef was greatly appreciated. Food quality was good, portion sizes were fine, but at a chef driven/higher end restaurant I usually can’t stop talking about how amazing the food was. Nothing really stood out that I haven’t had a better version of somewhere else.

    We decided to sit in the main dining room. Loved the ambience! We shared the blue crab beignet and the chowder, 5 star. We both had the Key West snapper. Delicious, but would have loved extra sauce, it was so yummy! For dessert we had the caramelized banana dish and chocolate torte. The chocolate torte comes with peanut brittle and we asked for a little bit more brittle to take home and they obliged us:) We were there to celebrate our anniversary and we received sparking wine on the house!!
