This place really flies under the radar—I can’t believe it wasn’t packed as the BBQ stands out as the best in Boston. Notable dishes include: —prime sliced brisket —fried chicken —biscuits!! —Mac and cheese —slaw —crispy potatoes Would avoid the pork ribs, not because they’re bad but because everything else was so top notch

I’ve been there before and was quite pleased.However this time I scheduled an impromptu meeting and was throughly embarrassed.Caveat being mice are unavoidable in the part of the city but to see them freely running thru the dinner area was a complete turnoff to my guest.Coupled with our host just being slightly apologetic I will not return or suggest this to my friends.This has become the place with the mice.Sad because my initial visit was great

I had the sliced brisket, ribs and Texas hot sausage. All excellent! Reminded of the bbq places I grew up with in Texas.

With so few diners at the time we went the wait staff was too attentive and almost pushy. The other diner had finished couldn’t wait to clear his dishes. Kept checking to see if I was done. No sooner did I put my fork down and he wanted to clear my dishes. When there is live music it is almost too loud to have a conversation in the dining room.

Staff was super nice and helpful. Good beer selection. The place was welcoming. Food was just ok. Meats were fatty and portions were fairly small for the price. If they can figure that part out, they’ll be a go-to spot.

Wednesday lunch was quiet as we were the only ones in the restaurant. The waitstaff was attentive and honest. The food was underwhelming and basic. If you are looking for authentic BBQ this isn't the place. The portions are small, the Mac and cheese lackluster and flavorless while the pork ribs had not even a speck of seasoning. You need sauce on everything as that was the best part, sadly! The drinks were good.... That is all!
