Each element of the restaurant – from the intimate private dining room built with wood from Greg’s family farm to the ethereal design of the dining room filled with vibrant greenery and natural textures – nods to his family’s five acre farm right outside of Chicago. The service was slow and not friendly. Had multiple waiters, and the one who came by the most had an attitude. Very few trips to the table to check if we needed anything or another drink, and no trips after we got our food. Despite booking through open table and with my $40 reward credit, restaurant said they had no idea what that was and didn’t accept them. Got 1 chicken sandwich and coke, and person I was with got half ribs w/ fries and it was $86. Restaurant also included mandatory 20% tip without asking, and then taxed the bill after including tip with food. Food was also not good and chicken sandwich was dark meat and small. Definitely not worth it!

Staff were pleasant but food was a disappointment. Chicken Caesar wrap was mostly lettuce. Salad was disappointing…icy cold as was the wrap. Cutlery had a weird fishy smell. We were there before it got crowded but small tables close together must not be comfortable at peak times.

Bland, low end restaurant chain food hardly worth Rockefeller Center. The blurb about the country roots made me wonder if the whole thing was not a satire on farm-to-table cuisine.

Excellent experience from the hostess to the server to the bus person to the manager, outstanding hospitality and wonderful menu selections. Food presentation and flavor were perfect!

This was our first meal at 5 Acres and it was a very pleasant experience from the time we were greeted by Chanel (she is amazing!) at the hostess stand. Every staff member we dealt with was friendly and professional. We work in the Rock Center area and will definitely be back to try some of the other yummy-looking items on the menu. The lemon drop martinis are delicious but rather small compared to other bars and restaurants in the city. The chocolate cake with soft-serve ice cream was the perfect dessert! We will be back!
