Amerigo is a neighborhood Italian restaurant offering a a blend of traditional and modern Italian cuisine to guests throughout the southeast. Since opening our doors in Ridgeland, MS over three decades ago, Amerigo has remained a local Italian favorite for the Jackson, Memphis, and Nashville areas, and we are thrilled to now be serving the Huntsville community! Each of our locations share many of the same original Amerigo menu items with local inspiration and ingredients where available. Our dedication to serving guests fresh Italian meals in a warm, inviting atmosphere is at the core of each of our restaurants.

Authentic Italian pasta, hand-made pizzas, fresh seafood and grilled chops and steaks offer something for everyone at Amerigo. A lunch, dinner, and early bird menu is offered daily, along with weekend brunch.

Celebrated my wife’s birthday. The boys and I had great meals. My wife got the filet and said it was cooked perfectly and one of the best she had ever had. The tiramisu was a nice finish as well. Anna did an exceptional job serving us and we will be asking for her in the future. Highly recommend!

We met friends for dinner and had a great server who allowed us time to ‘visit’ a few minutes before ordering. We appreciated not being rushed. I had Fettucine Imperial and a Caesar salad which was all great. My husband ordered lasagne which he didn’t enjoy as much as some other meals he has had here. He said there was way too much sauce and not enough pasta or cheese. Don’t know if this is a new recipe or if he just had the remainder of a batch that was left in a pan. At any rate, our experience was nice and we enjoyed our time there.

Always a good meal at Amerigo! Cocktails came to our table at the same time as the food, so we did not have time to talk for a bit. I won’t hold that against them, though! Great Italian food experience! Oh, and you better try the pecan crunch dessert.

It was a special birthday celebration for a dear friend and her visiting son. The staff had placed a personal Birthday message on the table signed by staff members. We also had two boys, ages 2 & 3, with us. The two-year old spilled his entire cup of water fairly early on which the staff quickly cleaned up for us. Honoree selected a nice bottle of red wine which the staff carefully presented and treated as a fine event. Nice!

Ordered Italian panini and got turkey instead. almost refused it. New menu is not keto - carnivore - paleo friendly at all with so many pasta dishes that make the basis of the dish. most lunch menu choices were chicken of some kind except catfish. I do not eat chicken nor non-whitefish seafood. yes, that makes it difficult to find something to eat but that is not an excuse for the limited choices regardless of price. seafood is in many dishes if not chicken; examples veal piccata + crab; shrimp bisque is only soup choice essentially. No pork, beef or lamb entree or specials on the lunch menu. The favorite by many of my guests was the pork roll Thursday special and it is nowhere on the menu anymore. The lack of traditional Italian dishes is surprising.

This was my 2nd time dining at Amerigo, and it was an improvement over an already enjoyable first time. We celebrated my father’s and brother’s 35th and 14th respective Fathers’ Day. The service was a bit underwhelming concerning promptness; however, the food was outstanding for the value, and I am likely to return again. I ordered the Veal Piccata, but certainly wish to try the Chicken Piccata

Enjoyed a lunch here for a birthday celebration. Love the crab cakes. Goat cheese and walnut salad was good, will order a different salad next time. Key lime pie was yummy and huge, should have taken half home.

I almost always order the salmon because it is consistently well seasoned and never dry. My husband normally doesn't like fish, but since I order it often he decided to try it. He loved it!!! Also, Ru, our waitress, was very attentive and made sure we were well taken care of! She's a keeper!!!
