   Best Bbq brisket I have had in a long time. Sandwich was amazing. Wife had the salmon salad as she is not a big meat eater and enjoyed thoroughly. Wait staff and others were very nice and I would highly recommend for someone look for an reasonable but elevated Bbq experience!

   Underwhelming experience. Not the warmest and friendliest welcome we have received since arriving in Sedona. The girl on the podium could not have been more unenthusiastic, seemed almost put out by our arrival. Server was ok, forgot whether she has given us a drink we ordered. Potato skins were lukewarm. I ordered the loaded gun board- the pulled pork was average and a bit bland, ribs were very dry and tough, andouille was quite good as was the cornbread. My wife had the smoked chicken which she said was quite nice but disappointed by the two asparagus spears that arrived with the dish. The dessert we shared was billed as a brownie, it wasn’t a brownie, it was a rather bland tasting chocolate cake. ‘Ganache’ is a very creative way of labelling runny, synthetic chocolate sauce that reminded me of the type you have on an ice cream from the neighbourhood ice cream van. Overall it wasn’t a great experience and we wouldn’t return. As I said, disappointing to say the least as the presence of the smoker out front gives hope that a real, genuine bbq experience was in store. Sadly, not the case.

We’re sorry to hear about the service at the host stand; a welcoming atmosphere is one of our top priorities, and we have addressed this with our team. While we’re glad a few items stood out—like the andouille, cornbread, and smoked chicken—it’s clear that several dishes missed the mark, and for that, we sincerely apologize. The Loaded Gun Board is meant to be a highlight of our menu, so we’ll be reviewing the preparation and presentation of those items. Your feedback on the dessert is also noted—we didn’t deliver the brownie experience you expected, and we’ll be re-evaluating both the recipe and the way it’s described on the menu. Thank You.

   Pretty disappointed in our meal. Ordered the skirt steak and ribeye. The skirt steak chimichurri wasn’t flavorful. The ribeye was just ok and underwhelming. Also ordered cornbread which the special menu for Mother’s Day did not mention jalapeños in it.. and was shocked to find them in it. Was a very odd combo and couldn’t eat it. The brownie desert was decent but also just ok. Bummer but can’t win them all I guess.

   The food was very good, the deviled eggs were fabulous. Our server gave us a significant amount of attitude about pulling two tables together to make a party of nine despite the restaurant being almost empty on Mother's Day, and the presence of another larger party of about 8 across the room being served by someone else. Our server was also visibly and verbally upset about separate checks. It put a damper on the experience for sure.

   We enjoyed our dinner and Jose was very attentive. We were on a girls trip and looking for something quicker and less fancy than we had had the previous nights. This was great.

   I thought it would be more old world cowboy interior and not so modern decor inside but that was just the only disappointment

   Hi Robert, Thanks for the review — glad you enjoyed the food, service, and the peaceful ambiance (we assume the quiet came from everyone silently judging the wallpaper for not being dusty enough). We totally get it — you came in expecting John Wayne and got West Elm. Next time, we’ll dim the lights, throw some hay on the floor, and make the bartender wear spurs.    The portion sizes were very generous, but the noise level and slower service was disappointing. We noted this was a dinner for our anniversary and it wasn’t even noted by the staff. It was a fine experience, but not a place to mark as must return.
