Mermaid Oyster Bar is a family of casually sophisticated seafood restaurants born in New York in 2003.

Starting out in Manhattan’s East Village as a spot-on rendition of a casual New England fish shack, The Mermaid Inn has morphed into an American seafood brasserie, replete with style, hospitality and a menu marked by bold and seasonally inspired cuisine. The Mermaid Inn has been designed to evoke the feeling of being on a mini vacation in a small seaside village.

Always great service. Food comes out quickly and expertly prepared. A great time, Pricey, but it is Times Square.

We have loved the Mermaid Inn for years and go to all of their locations in the city. Our visit to their Time Squarw location last night was so disappointing. Service was lovely but the food was so-so. Combined with the price increase, not worth it. Sad.

Sometimes you just want a good lunch. Something delicious, well-seasoned, and fresh. Went for lunch and experienced all of this. It was also nearly empty bc it’s beach season and we loved the quietness. Surely a place to check out!

The fish taco was very good. Oysters were excellent Lobster roll could have used more lobster meat & more mayo Happy Hour margaritas very good

I’ve dined here a few times, it’s a go to for special and casual occasions. It is always lovely. Food is great, service is very good. Highly recommend.

From the minute that we walked in, they recognized our reservation, gave us. A beautiful seat introduced themselves await. Staff was very attentive and very knowledgeable. The manager was above and beyond food was good. We’ll be back.

The restaurant is very good. The food is delicious and well served. The waitress that served us was not very friendly. But this didn't spoil our experience.

Went for Happy Hour, shrimp sliders were excellent, oysters small but tasted good. Calamari it’s self was good but did not care for the sauce. Waiter didn’t return often for drink refills or to check on us. He seemed annoyed, not sure it was because we were from out of town or there for Happy Hour. We left after appetizers and drinks. Too bad, we went elsewhere for dinner and were appreciated. Nice atmosphere
