Went to Anthem for dinner during Restaurant Week and it was great..The Lobster hush puppies were delish.. Service was excellent we took our time eating, drinking and chatting without being rushed. Rory was our server and he was the best. I will def recommend and come back again. R

This was our first time at Anthem. They had special menu items for "Fat Tuesday." We got some of the special items and some regular items. All the food was very good, and the service was also excellent.

Although they have great reviews the wait staff was sort of dismissive and the bartenders make mediocre drinks. Not worth the price.

It was honestly super expensive for just okay food and the place was empty at 8:30 on a Friday night which supports my claim that it just isn't that great compared to a lot of other restaurants in the area.

We used to love this place, the cheese fondue was always our go to and was the reason we kept coming back. This trip we learned that the fondue is gone and the things that were kind of replacing it (seafood dip and pretzels with smoked cheese) were just not very good. The clam chowder was excellent, the lobster Mac and cheese was alright. The sangria which sounded amazing and kind of locally inspired was just sangria. We were quite disappointed. The nice location and fun atmosphere wasn’t enough to cover it for locals. Also our server was in quite a rude rush until we were leaving when she became rather friendly, so that was also disappointing. We likely will not be encouraging gatherings to be held here anymore.

Was very busy but got seated right away -- great ambience and short rib tater tots were amazing, and N. End pizza was great. Sadly the calamari was dry/overcooked, should have sent it back but didn't want to make a scene since on a date. Avoid at all costs (which as $14, basically for fried batter). But recommend overall.

So, its a decent location right. It's located inside a very cooly restored building, great wooden beams. But, after that it is a major disappoint. Food was poor (short rib was overwhelmed with mushrooms) to decent (fish and chips); however apps and mains arrived at the same time. So, by the time we tasted the meatball apps, they really were just crap. The server could have cared less that everything arrived at once, her comment was it wasn't her fault. After that, her next visit to our table was to bring the check. She occupied her time, as the place was mostly empty by chatting with the hostess. We had ordered a bottle of wine and ended up pour it ourselves over the course of our meal as the chat must have been a good one. It was a place that I wanted to like, but have to conclude I would not recommend to anyone.

My family and I here came here for lunch after a special occasion. The service was subpar, and everything took longer than it needed. The waiter wasn’t very attentive and came back to check on the table only once out of the 2 hours. Then, he gave us a hard time when we wanted to split the bill (we only split it in half between 2 people paying). Food was also subpar, no real flavor and the plates seemed to be just thrown together. This is all to say it wasn’t horrible, more of a spot to grab a beer and some apps than to get a nice meal.

Ordered roasted cauliflower. It was 50% broccoli. No mention of it on menu or by server. Ordered fish tacos. They completely fell apart - couldn’t pick them up at all. Just a pile of stuff after picking up with a 3rd all over the table. Generally good experiences at Anthem but I’d think twice next time.

My husband had a beer on draft and I had the anthem spritzer, the drinks were very good. Meatball appetizer was delicious. My husband had the chicken with broccoli rabe, The chicken was maybe the saltiest chicken I have ever had in my life, And the broccoli rabe was a little heavy on the garlic. Due to the saltiness of the chicken my husband could not finish his plate. I had the pork over gnocchi with wild mushrooms, also salty but not much more than expected for restaurant food.

Food great, service sucked. We paid cash for so much of the bill and the bill came back double what we spent. Drinks took forever to come out, waiter was subpar and looked annoyed whenever we asked him anything. Absolutely the worst service I’ve gotten in years. The manager had every reason to not apologize to us as well

Waitress was great. Very attentive and accommodating. Fresh romaine on my salad however salmon was slightly overdone and dry. Clam chowder was awesome, creamy and packed with clams

Lovely lunch on the patio! Service and food very good. Only small issue was that the hostess forgot to mark the reservation as “seated” so I got an email from Open Table necessitating response, a call to the restaurant, and an online chat with Open Table. Resolved, but a bit of a waste of time!

Good neighborhood place near Faneuil Hall; very good drinks; food is good, and they pay attention to dietary needs like gluten-free options, which is terrific. But burgers need to be cooked right the first time; we needed to send back because overdone. And even the second time, not that juicy. Sometimes salmon is perfect, other times too much sauce or glaze. Get consistent.
