Review summary

AI-generated from verified diner reviews
Acquafarina offers a vibrant dining experience with "amazing food," "outstanding service," and a "beautiful atmosphere." The live violinist adds a charming touch, while the extensive wine list complements the Italian-inspired menu. Although some found the portions small, the desserts and personalized touches like birthday cards make for a memorable occasion.

Overall good. Beautiful space and great service. Find the brunch menu too limited. It’s a very “creative” menu which is great but I wish they offered a few standard selections for brunch. We found the carbonara “pizza” offering odd and wouldn’t order it again.

I really wanted this restaurant to be good, and had pretty high expectations. It is a beautiful place in a perfect location. Clever and elegant interior design. Our waiter Jose from Brasil was warm and friendly. He made us feel at home. We started with Caesar salad, which was excellent. (The croutons were a bit much but easily removed.) For entrees, I had the lobster fettucini (the pasta was homemade) and it was good but nothing to write home about. Hubby had the lamb chops and they were extremely disapppointing. Dry, overcooked, and extremely salty. The accompanying risotto was not bad. None of the food warranted the price. I think this restaurant is living on a past reputation. It was fun watching the pizza chefs toss the dough. Perhaps ordering a pizza is the way to go here, rather than ordering an entree. It wasn't a horrible experience, but we wouldn't return.

Service was excellent as usual. Disappointing food for a Michelen recommended restaurant. Don’t like the thin, floppy pizza. Should be able to make better from those high end ovens. The Cacio e Pepe had so much pepper it was almost inedible. In retrospect We should have asked the chef to taste it. We ate at another hidden gem Italian place off 16th that was far better. We have been 3 or 4 times. This was a miss

The ambiance is imaginative, creative, and lovely -- a gem really. The wait staff is superb. The menu is both original yet classic too. Our meal was outstanding. The wine cellar is monumental, and not insanely priced. It's not inexpensive overall and we deeply wished that we could have talked the manager into terminating the strong-beat dance music. It wasn't loud, but it was present and entirely a negative feature. I have no idea why the management is unbending on this point. If we get back to Vancouver, we will definitely return to Acquafarina! But we will call in advance about the musical selections.

It’s a nice place and we are sitting in the patio with a automatic roof. Good food. Good service! Will definitely go back again. It is really worth Michelin recommended.

We made a last minute reservation without checking the menu, reviews or a recommendation. Were we lucky! Acqua Farina is so beautiful, both in the covered patio or inside, and the food is delicious (excellent risotto and sea bass). Our waiters were knowledgeable and attentive but not intrusive, and we had such a good time.

The restaurant has nice decor and ambiance - there were a few things I didnt like at all Over the weekend they had already ran out of their porterhouse. The seats outside were super uncomfortable I wanted to leave immediately after sitting down. The drinks were just okay. We got the burrata salad, it was fresh but no flavor. They brought bread to our table ( was excited at first) but the butter was stale. The bread had no special flavor. For our mains we got duck and their sirloin and asked for medium rare. Both were cooked medium. :( The mains and app was mediocre but the dessert was pretty good. Overall i was uncomfortable sitting on the chairs and I wasnt sure why it was michelle star.
