   What a cute place! It would be a great place to come back for a birthday or celebration. My friend and I enjoyed our time together there.

   This place is adorable and a wonderful place if you want to do something different with your friends. The food was very delicious and worth every penny. The tea selections were amazing and I will need to go back!

   5 of us enjoyed a wonderful tea this past weekend. Our only complaint at all was parking was difficult after a recent snow/ice storm.

   This tea spot is a gem on fairly busy Belmont St. The storefront room is very inviting with China tea cups, teapot plates, fresh flowers on the table, lace tablecloths. There’s a large variety of teas to choose from and a three tiered tray with small bites of sandwiches, sweets, and scones. I love the chicken salad. Donna, our server was very prompt and accommodating eg, I had never had Scottish tea and she brought a small pot to try. Parking is quite accessible on the main road or side streets. I highly recommend this place and encourage you bring family and friends. At $35 each it is well worth it.

   I'm ambivalent about the food because it was so heavy on the sweet stuff, and I could have used a bit more savory food to make a filling lunch, but maybe that's standard for high tea? I have a huge sweet tooth, so that's a rare comment for me, but I was expecting something closer to a lunch because $30 is rather expensive for a snack. I also found the atmosphere a little over the top girly, but I guess that's their target market. My dining companion has lived in London and noted that the clotted cream -- which I'll add was a TINY portion -- was runny, which it shouldn't have been; it should have been thick. Her comment was, "I will say that I was very disappointed in the tea - even for $30.00 per person, the offerings were inadequate, meager. The Vintage Tea Shop is an 'idea' that appeals to a particular segment of the local society, and it probably works for them." The staff were all lovely, and the recommendation of the cranberry tea was spot-on.

   Not the best first experience. The chairs are metal folding chairs that were not comfortable and were also very cold. The restaurant itself was cold to the point that my feet were freezing. The sandwich bread was stale and hard, one scone per person and they were as small as a gum ball.

    It is a lovely place. Good selection of teas and nice finger food to go with it. I just happened to be there when they had a big birthday party that was kind of loud. Probably not how it is normally so I’d love to visit again.
