At Lower Mills Tavern, we strive to make this place feel like home to all – Whether that be during game day, date night, or a quick drink after work. We are a Dorchester-local tavern with a strong passion for community and fresh, locally sourced ingredients. We offer live music 2 nights per week as well as $1 oysters on Monday, wood-fired pizzas, Salads, Seafood, Steaks and much more.

Our delicious seasonal menus are sure to have menu items specially catered towards any dietary need (ex: gluten-free, vegan, etc.). Voted Best Neighborhood Restaurant in Boston (Dorchester; Boston Magazine)

We are located in the heart of Lower Mills right down the street from our two sister restaurants Yellow Door Taqueria and Madre Osteria & Bar - perfect spots to grab a drink before or after your reservation!

                                                              First visit to thus tavern. Reservation was perfect. Beer was cold and delicious. $1 oysters in celebration of Cinco de Mayo. Dinner menu was varied and interesting. Sweet-Pea ravioli was different and very tasty.

                                                              Drinks came quick and were delicious but food arrived almost too fast, before we finished. We both enjoyed the food- salmon and veggie burger. Sat a little too long waiting for check to come. So overall great, just timing a little off.

                                                              Fun place to go for a lively bar experience. Good selection of food. Service was good once they assigned someone to our table. Liked the mixed ages of the diners; from families to middle agers to the young crowd. Oysters were outstanding.
