This was our first visit to the Drake in Oakbrook and will likely be our last. When making reservations we were under the impression that we would be in the Colonial Room. When we arrived, we were in a ballroom that felt more like a large conference room. For the price of the buffet at $65, we were expecting what we would normally enjoy at any other "champagne brunch". However, the food was slightly better than a standard hotel brunch. I will say that the waitstaff were excellent, very attentive, and thorough with details and answering questions.

Took forever to get seated even with a reservation. It should be easier. Also, I wanted to sit in the main room and they said there’s no seating for two people available but there was…people who came after got it even though I had asked on the phone to sit in the main. Not worth it.

I had first heard of the Champagne Brunch @The Drake prior to the pandemic and put it on my to-do list for a future date. I regret now that I didn't make it more of a priority because after reserving a table for a Birthday Celebration I know now that it will be my favorite reason for returning again and again to The Drake Hotel. We were greeted and seated by The Hostess Audriana whom would later escort us around the entirety of the hotel pointing out everything there was to offer a foodie as well as a hotel guest. During this tour she pointed out a number of interesting facts about the Hotels History and suggested that we should return for New Years Eve and laid out details that definitely made me interested in reserving a room for the event. We were then greeted by a member of the waitstaff Irma whose unwavering attention made us feel like celebrities, we swore that she was psychic because she just appeared before you could look around and no matter the question she had a response. The food was exceptional and there was so much variety that it was hard not to return to the buffet multiple times. The mimosas that were offered were perfectly blended and replenished when needed. I was most impressed in the size of the dining hall and the room between the tables you didn't feel crowded and it was possible to have quiet conversation. In all I would recommend this brunch to anyone that is craving a meal that is worth the price, an ambiance that is hard to come by and a staff that is in tune to your every need. Thanks again to the manager Ann and her wonderful staff but special kudos to Audriana and Irma.

I had the pleasure of enjoying brunch yesterday, and I have to give a huge shout-out to Ms. Adriana. Every time I visit, I request her because she consistently provides the best service. She’s attentive, friendly, and goes above and beyond to make the dining experience special. If you’re looking for a wonderful brunch experience, make sure to ask for her. Thank you, Adriana, for making our time so memorable

My first time here with my girl group. It was really very nice. The service was 5 stars along with the food. However, the mimosas were flat. They were 95% juice. The servers had pre-made pitchers walking throughout the room. Not good. A customer at another table recommended that we get the Champagne straight from the bottle. That too was flat. After, we went to the bar just to see if there was a difference and lo and behold, the drink from the bar was the real deal. Again, everything was top notch except for the Champagne and that's the primary reason we came AND that's the name of the brunch. Not liking that. We paid about $83 each for the brunch. That included the buffet, tip, and the flat mimosas. I'd come back but never for the drinks.

The food was amazing. As always, the service impeccable, thank you so much to Adriana. We were celebrating my mother's birthday and she made her day extra special.This is why we always ask for her. We will be back soon
