   Service was great, but food wasn’t even good. Bronzino had no taste. Drinks were good, but no one at our table was impressed by their meal. Disappointing experience. I expected much more based on other reviews. We won’t be back.

   Like the other reviews said service is terrible. Made us wait 30 minutes past our reservation for a table. Food was like cafeteria quality. I won’t be returning.

   The only negative thing I can say is the service. The hostess greeted us and the first thing she said was your table wont be ready for another 20 minutes because we only have one server. Being in the restaurant business, it is better to just say your table will be ready shortly. Telling the customer you only have one server starts the meal off in a very negative way. On the positive side the spinach ravioli was excellent, some of the best I've had in a long time

   We were texted 3 times and called 1 time to make sure we were coming. We had to wait 10 minutes for our reservation. First course-meatballs served, no offering of cheese and presented w no utensils (wait 5 minutes). Meatballs had great flavor very dense. Wait 25 minutes for 2nd course-salmon. It was yum, portion was small. Another at least 25 minutes for dessert. 3rd course- ricotta cheese cake. Tiny but good. We were at the restaurant an hour and 50 minutes. Way too long. Would not return

   It took over 30 mins for our food to come out. The food taste horrible. The drinks were good. Small gnats were flying around my plate so I didn’t want it anymore. And the noise was loud from the bar because the eagles game was on

    Service was great, went for Restaurant Week - food was good but didn't make me want to come back for anything specific. Soace is open and clean, a little Retro. Italian/Modern American type of menu. Good value for Restaurant Week, not sure if I would pay full price for the experience.

    When we arrived they were running behind so our reserved table wasn’t ready yet. We found seats at the bar and the bartenders seem to ignore us. I am hoping it had nothing to do with us being black lesbians because it’s suppose to be LGBTQ friendly. I finally got someone’s attention. We got 2 drinks and they were good. We were then seated and the server was soooo nice and attentive to us. We had an appetizer from their New Year’s menu and dinner and dessert from their original dinner menu. The appetizer was good until we got to the center. It was frozen. I can’t remember the name of it but I have a picture of what was left with the frozen pieces on my plate. I didn’t send it back or said anything bc I don’t believe in sending food back. For dinner, I got the roasted salmon with the rosemary potatoes and my wife got the truffled spinach ricotta ravioli with brussels sprouts. Everything about dinner was great but the potatoes. They were extremely hard and dry with no flavor. The dessert was good as well. I got the BOMBOLONI and my wife got the TORTA AL CIOCCOLATO. I have attached pics of everything.

    Food was average at best. Ordered the pumpkin agnolotti and the presentation was very unappetizing (soupy) and when I bit into it the taste was very bland. Short rib was tough, meatballs salty and too dense, not tender. Ordered the spaghetti pomodoro as a substitute and the pasta was too al dente. Drinks took about 25/30 mins to arrive, but the server was gracious and removed them from our bill. They were very good. Overall underwhelming experience, would not come back or recommend.

    For $164 (before tip), I expected more. Service: reservation was made through OpenTable; special requests- birthday dinner, "table away from the kitchen by the window" ~ oblivious hostess seated us at the back, by the kitchen (can the staff see OpenTable notes?). Restaurant only had one other table dining when we arrived, on time, at 7:00 p.m. ~ after asking to move to the table towards the front, the hostess seemed put out and walked away, upon which I moved to a closer table to the front. Service by 1006/shayd was awfu, basically 'self-service' ; we had to ask for, everything. Note: plenty of the staff were standing around throughout the evening (many at the back, gossiping, munching on something and drinking sodas); with so few diners, this was perplexing. Food: the fruits de mare (fried calamari appetizer), breading was thick and undercooked (white not golden), zucchini chips were cold. When ask about the veal entree, Shayd stated there were two options: veal with parmesan or breaded, I selected the parmesan variant. What showed up was a large piece of quarter inch thick meat (straight from Stouffer's or Olive garden) heavily breaded, covered with a full cup of tomato sauce, completely topped with a thick layer of mozzarella, and microwaved. Already exasperated, I chose not to send it back. Cocktails were good, perhaps the source of the higher reviews.

    So excited to try Dolce after hearing such great thing only to be left disappointed. Well, maybe not disappointed per se, but not thrilled by the experience we had which could be summed up as a solid “C” or average at best. We got a fantastic two person booth near the kitchen so we could see what was going on…only to be greeted with a number of fruit flies buzzing around our food. We went on a Wednesday, so not a busy evening with more than half the tables unoccupied, only to be met with such limited service it was just bizarre. As an Italian restaurant, we were excited to try the food, so here are the do’s and maybe pick something else… Meatball appetizer- three meatballs over creamy polenta topped with red sauce. Overall solid dish. However, for my taste, the meatballs were very dense (and I mean VERY). I prefer mine meaty but fluffy, so these felt heavy in my stomach. Tasty dish nonetheless. Fritto misto - generous portion of calamari and shrimp (more calamari with 4ish shrimp) with zucchini “chips” on the side which were a nice touch. Wish there was wayyyy more sauce provided with the amount of food that was on the plate, because there just wasn’t enough to dip. Also, it would appear the marinara came right from the jar (or fridge) because it was COLD when we were dipping (unclear why it wouldn’t be heated up when you’re eating a warm dish of food…just sayin) Pappardelle alla bolognese - al dente large noodles covered in lots of sauce which was great. Only downfall was when you got further down it seemed that the noodles weren’t mixed enough with the sauce because they formed a clump in the bottom of the dish. Good flavor, but nothing ‘wowing’. Margherita pizza - decent sized pie. The crust ended up being kind of gummy because the crust wasn’t crispy enough, and the mozzarella ended up in these big, congealed balls of cheese because the pizza itself/pan was not hot enough for them to remain melted. Overall, fine meal. Average. Unsure if we’ll be back.

    The service was excellent; the food good; a bit overpriced. The noise level was unbearable to the point that we would not return. This was caused by the enormously high ceilings (the restaurant was not crowded as it was pre theater dinner; so that was not the problem). There is nothing they can do about the ceiling unless they installed noise baffling materials. It's a shame because it could have been nice. The waiters and us had to yell the two feet between us to be heard. Seating was somewhat uncomfortable and not really cosy -- almost looked like a cafeteria (but not the prices!)

    The atmosphere was social and energetic. Our table host Justin (my term for server) was outstanding, he was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about our experience. The menu was varied enough that we were challenged to limit our selections. We all loved everything from the bread(with the accompanied sweet butter spread and olive oil) our appetizers (grilled octopus or meatballs) our entrees (Bronzino or Rossotto) finally to my new favorite Tiramisu. We always look forward to experiencing our home town dining options. Now with our son living in the heart of the city, I'm sure we well take full advantage when visiting from Delaware. However, we will always be happy to make the short walk to Dolce to be guaranteed a fabulous evening
