   Host and co-host carried on a conversation for five minutes before acknowledging us, then made us wait 10 minutes before seating us. Very unTavistock like experience.

   Their menu has changed to tapas style. Food is still tasty and service was good.

   Flavor is good, but definitely not worth the price. Portions are extremely small, and server was nice, but not a high end service.

   I picked this restaurant to celebrate my spouse’s 29th birthday and it was excellent in every way possible. The entire staff were so kind and you could tell they really were trained and skilled at their jobs. Ordering the bread is a MUST! It comes out fresh, warm, and there’s a contrast of flavors from the sweet bread and lightly spicy butter. Then we ordered 2 more small bites and 3 plates. Everything was shared and we left full. I would highly recommend this restaurant to any and everyone!

   Food was amazing. Restaurant is beautiful. However I was a little surprised by the service for such a fancy restaurant. I just found it to be a little lacking. Our server was very friendly and informative but we’d ask for things and it would be a very long time before being brought the requested item. I had to ask for a glass of ice three times before getting it. I also thought the speed at which food came out was VERY slow. It was quite a while before we got our first appetizer and then probably another 30 minutes before we got our second appetizer that we order at the same time. Then a while after that before our dinner plates came out. But again the food is amazing and the prices I thought were great for the quality of food. Just wish the level of service matched the high end vibe of the restaurant. Also of note this restaurant is so dark with minimal lighting and then all the lights at the tables randomly go out making it impossible to read the menu without using the flashlight on your phone. By far the darkest restaurant I’ve ever been to. And heads up menu online will not be the same as the menu in restaurant, they rotate menus.

   If you want to splurge on modern Latin American cuisine, then you will enjoy Bacan. What little food that was on the plate was certainly tasty, the service excellent and the atmosphere was pleasant. It was disappointing to learn that the website menu did not match the restaurant menu in selections. Our table of 4 each started with an appetizer before our "large" plate, 2 sides and shared 3 desserts. However, it's unfortunate that the meal didn't adequately satisfy our hunger, and, in case you're wondering, we're not big people. We joked about the serving portions and chalked it up as an experience. Your paying for the service and atmosphere.

    This was our 35th wedding anniversary. I selected the Wave Hotel and Becan for the occasion. It did not disappoint! We were greeted by the staff with a “ happy anniversary “ . We were made to feel special in every way. The meal was superb and our Waiter Brad was very attentive. We have been here before and Kendal ( a previous waitress ) recognized us and said hello. All in all we had a lovely evening and will most definitely return. Michael
