We’re octogenarians so don’t eat out and outside much. Our server was super attentive and the ambiance was so enjoyable. All of my favorite foods were available. So a win win win

one of my fave restaurants in LA i never get sick of those red curry mussels. one note, the handroll had way too much rice (the texture was thick and chewy) and it totally overpowered the fish on top. The rice needs to be less goopy and more fresh for the fish to really be able to stand out! xoxo!!!! instead of handrolls maybe add more sashimi options! ❤️❤️❤️

This is my second time coming to this location, I have made a reservation both times, and I oddly enough have been sat at the exact same table, specifically the second time I came I requested an indoor table on my reservation, and was still sad at that same table that I get which is pushed into a corner away from other tables and close to the kitchen window. as well both times the server that I have each time never seems enthusiastic, disappears for very long amounts of time, and while I was eating my oyster still there were three left on the tray she tried to remove the platter, then came back a few seconds later, and tried to remove the platter again she even rolled her eyes at me when it came time to wanting to receive the check. Highly disappointed will never return again I had to come back to make sure that it was just a bad day the first time but I’m pretty sure this is the environment of this place or they just don’t like minorities.

The food was delicious, the service was excellent, professional, pleasant. This place needs a bigger space. The outdoor patio next to the road was very noisy. But overall the impression was very good. We will visit this place more frequently.

It is my dad's favorite place. He is 93 years old. He never gets tired of going to your restaurant. I love lobster mac and cheese. All the staff very friendly. Thank you for your service and make my dad very happy.

Kind of disappointed this time. We order the seafood combo, but half of seafoods are not fresh. Same as the oysters. They mixed fresh seafood with bad one. And the menu changed a lot. The quality is not good as before.

Once again this place did not disappoint. So good. I had the Shrimp … eeek I can’t remember the name. My hubby had fish and ships. Of course oysters, so good! And key lime pie is delicious and the best key like pie I’ve ever had.

We went for lunch and everything was delicious. We had clam chowder, chefs oysters, and grilled artichokes. Very satisfying. We sat inside which is very cute. Highly recommend.

We went for LA Dine Out Week & enjoyed the prefix menu. We had a cup of miso clam chowder, delicious & full of clams. 2nd course I had spicy tuna Crispy Rice, excellent & my friend had carrot ginger salad, just ok. My friend had the lobster roll & fries which was delicious, lobster sweet & tender & the fries, perfect. This was our first time at the Blue Plate Oyster, excellent experience.

We went for Dine LA Lunch and it was creative, appealing and tasty. Service was excellent and kudos to Brett ( host ) who took very good care of us, as did all our servers (they work as a great team). The chef is quite amazing. It is a tad pricey (but worth it). I would like it to be a little cleaner, but I understand the outdoor challenge. The food is delicious. You will not be disappointed. Check it out.

Arrived earlier than my reservation and they were incredibly accommodating. Had a great table on their patio, which has amazing views of the ocean and awesome people watching too. 1st time to the restaurant so we had no idea about the menu but the server was prompt and attentive, took the extra time to explain and recommend. Happy Hour is awesome with fantastic prices. The food is unbelievable with over the top flavor. Kudos to Blue Plate Oysterette and when back in Santa Monica, I will visit again.

My wife and I really enjoyed our sunset dinner. Ordered the following Clam chowder - Very good. Rice crackers were not very good. Order the soup without the crackers. Grilled artichoke. Very good Dozen oysters. Sweet Petite by far were the best.

Not a place for vegetarians but I knew that going in. Whoever devised the carrot ginger salad deserves the nobel prize of salad. Wine pours were skimpy. Mac and cheese was good. Went on a weekend so didn’t experience the japanese popup.
