Blue Plate Oysterette was inspired by East Hampton summer lobster bakes and mouthwatering lunches at Montauk’s favorite roadside eateries. With influences like Pearl Oyster Bar and Mary’s Fish Camp in New York, Oysterette serves lunch and dinner seven days a week with a menu straight out of the seafood shacks you find on the East Coast. Chunky, overflowing lobster rolls, buckets of steamed clams in broth so flavorful that bread demands to be dunked, clam chowder, mussels in broth, ceviche, and raw shellfish so fresh you can smell the ocean. Fresh and delicious, both raw and fried items. Although it was a Saturday night on a holiday weekend, felt like a meh tourist restaurant, but it’s a real true and serious restaurant! People should be lining up for a table.

Too many homeless circling around. Sadly it’s not the restaurants fault but ruins the experience.

Have been going here for lunch and dinner for years. Always order the grilled artichokes - love the aioli that comes with it. My daughter always gets the red curry mussels and I always get the Connecticut style (warm) lobster roll. What’s not to like about lots of lobster drenched in butter and served in a warm, toasted roll? You can even order extra lobster for an additional fee. Desserts are only ok but likely because we are too full after our entrees to eat them! Service is always attentive without being overbearing. Highly recommend.

This was easily the best meal of our trip to LA out of many restaurants we tried. The experience and service were perfect. We were immediately seated a few minutes ahead of our reservation time, and our server was at our table right away. He was knowledgeable about everything on the menu and had great recommendations. The noise level was not obtrusive at all, and the ambiance as great; it’s very nice but not stuffy. The food was fantastic. I had branzino that was delicious, and we had some really nice oysters. They make a great Old-Fashioned. I’m picky as can be and have unreasonably high expectations. And I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Get the branzino and some oysters. Finish it off with some key lime pie, you will not regret it.
