My wife and I had dined at other Kara restaurant group places, but this was our first visit to George’s Place in Cape May Courthouse although there are others in Cape May, Wildwood & Rio Grande. They are all BYO. The menu is Greek with a lot of choices. For appetizers, we had a Saganaki (flambéed cheese) that was really amazing as well the Octopus, which was marinated Octopus, with a generous amount of red peppers and chickpeas, on top of pita bread. Entrees were the Six Pepper Tuna, which was a well seasoned, sashimi grade Tuna steak, my wife got the Chicken special, which was 2 nice sized grilled chicken breasts with red peppers & feta, both served w/ a salad. We had plenty of leftovers to take home and also ordered a Baklava to go, which we dove into later in the evening—it was very, very, very good!!!! Highly recommended… I know we will be back.

Large portions of food overall were fair. There were gnats, flies around us while we were eating indoors. Windows and bathroom were filthy. Music was extremely loud. Ask to lower it but was not lowered. Based on this experience we were planning to go again at the end of the week but cancelled our reservation.

The food was outstanding and the portions were generous but the music was too loud and they said somehow they couldn’t turn it down. Also the burning of the appetizer was annoying and we thought they might burn the place down.

A favorite place to eat. Food is always fabulous. Servers are very friendly, fun, and attentive. George's is the BEST PLACE town. We LOVE it !!

Server was welcoming. Food was served quickly. Three of four guests truly enjoyed their entrees. One selected the pork ribeye. One selected crab cakes. Another selected a lamb dish. The fourth entree was a sashimi-grade pepper seasoned tuna. The flavors were very good. However, the tuna had obviously been purchased in frozen packaging and that noticeably altered the texture. We would return.
