Food was very good but ther service is just slow. They are good getting the apps and salads out but then getting the entree takes forever.

Our dinner at Il Posto was great! We were in a quieter room (front right) so the noise level was lower and we had the window street view. We tried several specials which were great. Everything everyone ordered was delicious. Highly recommend!

Service was VERY courteous and nice. Unfortunately three of us got served our meals in relatively quick succession, but by the time the fourth person was served the first three were just about 60% finished their entrées. It was either that or wait until the fourth person was served which would have meant waiting until until the first three entrées were cold. Also it was very distracting watching the dimmed lights be raised and the vacuum cleaners come out. If cleanup needs to happen then perhaps reservations should not be taken as late as they are. Two of the meals were very very good and the other two were not bad, but nothing to rave about.

Never disappoints!! Amazing! The prosciutto and cantaloupe is amazing. The risotto with the shrimp delicious and the Dover Sole was spectacular. Definitely will be back again.

We had a reservation for 8 on a Saturday night and even though we requested a table in the main dining room we were seated on the "porch". The table was ready right when we arrived. The ambiance on the porch is not very nice but, more importantly, it was sweltering hot. There was an overhead fan right near our table but "it was not working". They can't be seating people on this porch in the middle of summer without functioning fans. The food itself was very good especially the octopus app, the halibut special and the rigatoni and shrimp in a spicy red sauce. Caution - it is really spicey but good. Also, the service was excellent. It is a shame that the heat and lack of functioning fans made this dinner not too enjoyable.

Best food on the island. Great service. My only negative was the ambience and noise level. Two many large tables in one room making conversation difficult. Overall, a very good experience.

Things have changed over the years. Their kitchen can’t seem to keep up on a regular weekend night. Expect a long, long wait between courses and disappearing wait staff. Good food at premium prices. Go early as apparently walk ins get better tables than parties who took the time to make reservations. And of course the dreaded 3% credit card fee.
